    Actually, fighting has gone down over the years in hockey in the regular season, even more so in the playoffs. A fight is a rather rare thing nowadays compared to what it was twenty years ago.

    Fighting is not what the NHL head office wants and with more players wearing eye shields it makes it rather difficult to fight anyway.
