The Wings have to play the Sharks in the second round. The way the Sharks are playing I think there's a very real possibility that the Red Wings will be beaten handily.

My team, the Canucks, won tonight. I'm afraid they're going to have their hands full with the Ducks, though.

I'm going to hold my nose and cheer for the Sharks. I used to appreciate them before they sent my boys home two years in a row. I guess they're who I'm rooting for to win the Cup. No one in the East appeals to me.

What a comeback by my Wings!!!! Down two goals they tie it up (glad Holmstrom is back he made a big difference) and win it in overtime. Now this is playoff hockey. Thankfully I can watch the highlights online since down here they have no idea what ice hockey is.

    Go Wings!!!

The Sharks are worthless. They have a chance to atone for their iniquity of beating my Preds by doing the righteous world a favor and eliminating the dRed Wings, but no...they fold like a cheap pup tent.

    Sigh.....:tear:

Are the Hartford Whalers still in it? I have kind of quit following the sport. I use to also like the Minnesota North Stars...

The Hartford Whalers are now the Carolina Hurricanes, last year's Stanley Cup champs. The Whalers have been defunct for a decade or so. The North Stars are now the Dallas Stars and have been for about 15 years or so.

Honestly I am surprised that they let their guard down. Perhaps San Jose thought that they had the game won which is a dangerous mistake against one of the top teams in the NHL.

This series is far from over though. I expect it to go seven games in which I hope the home ice advantage of the Red Wings will pay off with a victory.

Wings win again! 4-1. Maybe that will make all those ESPN "experts" change their minds about Detroit.
Winning game 6 in San Jose will be a challenge for sure though. I look for this to seven games.

    Chau Chau Sharks

The Sharks are history! Once again the "experts" were wrong.

Wings in seven over the Ducks!

For some unknown reason, Barry Melrose picked the Ducks to beat the dRed Wings. As much as I hate to type this....the Red Wings have to be the favorite to win.

I'm going to be sick...... :BangHead:
