The futility continues for the NL, who has not won an All Star game since the beginning of the 2nd Clinton term.

So why can't the NL win the Midsummer Classic?

Easy. The AL, overall, has better players.

this was a painful one for me to watch...losing with 3 men on base with 2 outs in the bottom of the 9th.:BangHead:
It looks like LaRussa may have a bit of a rebellion on his hands with how he coached last night, Pujols apparently is not too happy.

The NL is inferior because it does not have the DH. This is not a trend that will ebb and flow as in previous years. The transition period is over. The AL will continue to be superior as long as the NL maintains its backward ways.

Amen and Amen. Plus, the great LaRussa overmanaged. I guess his computer statistics failed him. Pujols should've hit, but it's not like he's been killing the ball lately. And Albert's "If I wasn't going to play I wouldn'tve showed up" is stupid. Fine. Keep him off the roster forever. Let a better player and more grateful player get on the roster.
