Hebrews 2 tells you that God did not take upon Himself....the nature of angels, then it tells us whom He did take upon Himself......the seed of Abraham.........not the seed of Adam as you wrongly suggest.....can you see how clearly it says that?

And only a believer will respond to his call so the question remains, "Who will believe?"

Yes.....exactly......now reread It.....He took upon himself....THE SEED OF ABRAHAM. ........NOT. .......the seed of Adam.
The Holy Spirit had the writer to Hebrews tell us exactly who he saved.

Sorry, I've been gone to a ball game all day today, so it's too late for me to reply.

Still, had I been at my computer this morning I would not have responded to you because I'm not going to play the 20 questions game.

Dead spiritually but we were all dead in trespasses and sins. We don't have to understand spiritual things to respond the conviction of the Holy Spirit. What we need to believe we are sinners in need of salvation and believe Jesus died for our sins. We hear the gospel and hearing brings us to believe that is put Faith into action

That's the closest thing to truth I've ever witnessed you say. But then you undo that truth as you keep typing and you make those who are dead actually alive and able. Your Pelagian hand me down theology comes into play.

Do you know the difference between the words 'can' and 'may'?

Were you dead in trespasses and sins when you were born or were you born already regenerated?

Your sentence makes no sense. Try again?

More Pelagianism and you granting man credit since your theology is man-centered. The only way we understand anything spiritual is by the Spirit. By Him we unnderstand we are lost and need to be saved, and this is only by the Sons choosing whom He wills, Matthew 11:25ff. We are saved by the power that raised the Christ of God from the dead, not from inherent ability, note Ephesians 2:19. And there are more passages for you to wrest such as James 1:18; 1 Peter 1:1ff; Romans 9:16; John 1:13. Instead of seeing the truth in these passages that show it is all of God and none of man you'll destroy them via your Pelagianist presuppositions.

You got too much 'we' in your gospel and very little 'He'. That's the problem in a nutshell.

    Who won the game?

You do not have to respond. ....but this was my reaction in trying to think on these things. I could ask dozens more questions like these......and answer them.

Okay so not one believer was dead in trespasses and sins before salvation, that is the we who must believe not my words Christ said whosoever believes, Paul said believe on the Lord. Believe what? Just that He lived on this earth? Do we need to realize our lost state? The Philippian jailer did, so did Paul and Silas tell him be your saved now believe? Regeneration=salvation so is that the message since you're regenerated believe?

[ad hominem ] Nothing I stated even remotely alludes to your asinine conclusion. [ad hominem]

It's apparent you feel whenever you misread an ODT you come up with the fallacy that they believe and support your errors. Many show to you your inability to see the forest for the trees. :)

At what point did you become saved/regenerated? And then when did you believe? At some point you became alive from the dead when did that occur by your soteriology?

    The sheep.

Who are the sheep? IMHO the called according to purpose. I guess this leads to another question. What purpose? Is it not, to reign with Christ, being in the image of Christ?

My question. Reign over whom? Can they ever be born in the image of Christ? Was redemption a reality before the death and resurrection of Jesus of Nazareth, the Son of the living God? Can a non Jew who died before the death and resurrection of Jesus be raised from the dead and the redemption that is in Christ be applied to him?

I have a lot more questions than I have answers and I'm 73.
