That is the liberal way. Don't judge them by their results, only by their intentions.~ Rush Limbaugh

This does more to prove him right than anything else in history.

'Good intentions' - isn't that the paving material for the road to somewhere?

Hey, my 17 yr old son says he wants nominated...

He said he intends to do something for humanity when he gets older...

HEY... I want nominated... I intend to help usher in true world peace... I'll be riding with the King of Kings, and Lord of Lords when he returns to bring true peace!...

OK..Hot off the Whitehouse presses... here is his acceptance speech...
Imagine you are hearing it in his way of speaking.. You know.. slow deliberate at the beginning of the sentence.. then quicker toward the end of the sentence....

I think it's too soon, but perhaps this will give President Obama a platform to push for a world without nuclear weapons.

I'm so happy as an American that they decided to honor our President.

There are New Age words which describe the reason he received the award.
    His "gestalt" and "charisma".

Definitions are from the Merriam Webster Online Dictionary.

    Gestalt:
a structure, configuration, or pattern of physical, biological, or psychological phenomena so integrated as to constitute a functional unit with properties not derivable by summation of its parts.

It is this world's perception that he is a peacemaker, not derived from what he has done but from his "charisma".

    Charisma:
a personal magic of leadership arousing special popular loyalty or enthusiasm for a public figure (as a political leader).

    My opinion of course.

How can anyone believe that Obama is pushing for a world without nuclear weapons when he is helping Iran to obtain them?

The deal that he arranged for Iran is that someone else like Russia will refine their materials for them - which will be faster and easier for Iran than if they had to do it for themselves.

This just pushes Iran closer to having the bomb even sooner.

Obama's Nobel Is Premature, Historians and Political Scientists Say

Giving President Obama the Nobel Peace Prize is a "premature canonization" and an "embarrassment" to the process of designating a laureate, a presidential historian says.

"The jury is still out as to what his presidency is going to add up to," Fred Greenstein, author and professor of politics emeritus at Princeton University, told FOXNews.com.

"It's more of an embarrassment to the Nobel process."

You thought the Nobel Peace Prize was something other than a political tactic?

Given the nitwits that have received the award in recent years, maybe we should change the name to the "Despots and Morons Achievement Award".

Reminds me of how people react to the International Bluegrass Music Association(IBMA) Awards. A few years ago some people were complaining about Cherryholmes winning an award after so little time touring, and then people were doing the same this year about Steve Martin being nominated for banjo player of the year along the lines that if he won the award(which he didn't - Kristin Scott Benson won it for the second consecutive year) then the award meant nothing.

Personally I stopped paying attention to award ceremonies years ago. I like what I like. It doesn't matter if the artist or song wins an award or not. It is irrelevant to my enjoyment of the music I like. :)

I really don't care who wins the various Nobel prizes. It has no impact or influence on my life. I have bigger fish to fry.

It's a travesty that Obama didn't win the prize for economics.

He deserved it as much as the peace prize.
