    Apparently, MB has never read the book of Romans, since it talks repeatedly about election and the elect.

    I followed the link and it was an interesting read. Thank you. I found him to be insightful at many points. He clearly puts primacy on Jesus Christ crucified and resurrected, and the transformed life of believers.

    However, I understand how someone could believe Willard holds to the possibility that a person “outside Christian culture”, as he puts it, could be saved.

    I think it’s a misunderstanding of his position to say he believes non-Christians can be saved, as he clearly states only Jesus saves.

    However, he does make comments that could could be interpreted as allowing for the possibility that God the “Logos” might work in some other way (outside the gospel?) to bring someone to salvation.

    I hold that scripture is clear that the gospel of Jesus Christ is essential for salvation. Beyond that, I liked what he had to say.

    Actually, I never said anything about your character. But the fact that you falsely accuse me of attacking your character, as well as your name calling and insults, says a lot about your character, or lack of it.

    I'll say that I do not know how God will be fair with those that never hear the Gospel or who die as children. He will be impartial and fair, I believe.

    If God chose to send everyone to hell, he is just (fair).
    Anyone who God chooses to pardon is pardoned by God's grace alone.
    Those who are pardoned are graciously given this pardon only because God received the just penalty of death upon himself so that they could live.

    People who do not hear the gospel are not innocent. But, it should spur Christians today to share the gospel so that all might hear. However, God will ensure that those he chooses to graciously save will hear the gospel and believe.

    Some are essential. Christ died for our sins, according to scripture. He was buried and raised from the dead, according to the scripture. And He was seen by more than 500 people.

    ALL whom God has elected and chosen in Christ Jesus shall be saved, so he will make sure all who are to get saved will hear or read the Gospel somehow, and He will choose to be gracious towards infants.
