Nope, you certainly are mixing up the two. Either that, or you don't know how to express yourself understandably about the two. In your post I quoted you mentioned "extrabiblical revelation," then in the same context (without differentiating) you talked about Baptist preachers feeling led to a certain church.
I never hear anything from Baptist preachers that might be considered revelation, but I do hear from many the guidance of the Holy Spirit ...
Many years ago - I was at Ft Lee, Va. I took a member of my youth group out on visitation.
We went to the PX - look inside the cafeteria - I then told Mark there is no one in their to witness to. Even though there were over 100 people!
We then went outside - saw one young couple and we talked to them. They came to our revival that night and accepted the Lord. They then told us that her sister had been praying for them.
I never hear an audible voice from God - but there is not one doubt in my military mind that the Holy Spirit led us to Rick and Triny!
