Their actions speak louder. They continually associate with churches that endorse homosexuality.
So then, what I found on their website with regard to their ecumenism, would have them yoked with apostate groups?

Because she is female, or for some other reason?I stand by my statement that she is not a preacher.
Because she is female, or for some other reason?
Was interested in the most recent church she was in: Bronx Christian Fellowship. She helped to found the church. This is their mission and vision statement:

Our Vision
To make disciples and to mature them in the wisdom and knowledge of Jesus Christ for the work of the ministry until justice runs down as waters and righteousness as a mighty stream. (Amos 5:24)
Our Mission
To demonstrate the love of Christ by bringing justice to all people from all walks of life in fulfillment of the scriptures from the mouth of Jesus: "for I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink. I was a stranger and you welcomed me, naked and you clothed me. I was ill and you comforted me, in prison and you came to visit me." (Matthew 25:31-40)
Well I didn't question you regarding whether or not you thought she should be a pastor.Yes, because she is a female. She has no right to the office of pastor. Those that placed her in that office are in clear violation of the word of God.
She is not a pastor. She is not a preacher.
She is not a preacher.
Lots of women over the years have preached.
I know of a guy who had four daughters who were well-known for preaching the word of God.
Nothing wrong with that!

Unfortunately, the scripture teaches something else.Women should not be preaching.
Acts 2:17-18 KJV
17And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:
18And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy
Acts 21:8-9 KJV
8And the next day we that were of Paul's company departed, and came unto Caesarea: and we entered into the house of Philip the evangelist, which was one of the seven; and abode with him.
9And the same man had four daughters, virgins, which did prophesy
Women should not be preaching.
There are women who apparently have that gift. Baptist churches rarely recognize that gift among women today because they aren’t looking for it or they won’t allow it.Sure, women prophesied. Any women got that gift today?
Spoke too soon! :wavey:Didn't think so.
Yes, although not every gift is manifested in every congregation or cultural context. However, the gifts are provided as they are needed and received.Do you also believe every gift given to the early church is still given today?
I am convinced I have witnessed legitimate expressions of all of the gifts in my 31 years of Christian faith. However, I have only witnessed one instance of speaking in tongues and interpretation of tongues (July 4, 1987 – Stewart Beach, Galveston Island, Texas) that I thought was legitimate, although I have seen many people allegedly speak in tongues. If so, where are they?
Yes.Paul said that when Christ ascended on high He lead captivity captive and gave gifts unto men. He gave some, apostles; some, prophets; some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers. So, He obviously gave some women the gift of prophecy.
No. I think you have a very narrow view of what the spiritual gift of prophecy is... Prophecy is the supernatural (in coordination with our natural abilities) to preach the truth of God effectively and powerfully to specific situations and contexts. It is the kind of preaching that is incisive, extremely practical, and demands a decision from its hearers. That gift isn't given anymore.
Yes.Today the gift of pastor/teacher is still given.
...and women.Who is it given to? Men.
And I haven’t raised the issue of women as pastors with you, so this is irrelevant to our discussion. Thus, today the only ones who are supposed to preach in such an office is, you guessed it, men.
You base that pronouncement on the belief that the gift of prophecy is not given today. Now I know the proof-text that people normally use to make this assertion (from 1 Corinthians 13), but that verse refers to Christ, not scripture. This woman, and all women alive today, are not preachers.
Be careful, someone is going to call you a "liberal"! :laugh:I don't have a problem with women preaching...
I don't have a problem with women preaching as long as they don't hold the office of pastor, which is limited to men as qualified by Scripture.
The OT prophets primarily spoke to the issues of their day. Fore-telling was incidental to their primary ministry of being spokespersons for God in their context. When the bible speaks of the gift of prophecy it speaks of the ability to prophesy. You have changed the meaning to fit your skewed view. To prophesy is to fore-tell something. That is used all over the scriptures...
A NT prophet, like an OT prophet, is one who tells of future events in advance.
That's the short and sweet answer.A prophet is one who speaks the word of God. Period
That's the short and sweet answer.
You're absolutely right.
