    Candidate Obama berated President Bush – not just over the process by which information was gathered, but over the Bush administration’s willingness to “transgress” the “civil liberties” of citizens in general. We now know that President Obama has expanded that transgression beyond the scope allowed on envisioned by the Patriotic Act, as its principle author, Congressman Jim Sensenbrenner (R-Wis.) said so forcefully last week, even calling the NSA’s actions un-American.”
