Obama mispronounced the word "Orion"

    Not admitting making mistakes is not the same as blaming others or making lame excuses for the mistakes one makes, as Obama did.

    There was a church I used to attend in Okeechobee, FL. The pastor of the church was known for saying:

    Miama instead of Miami

    Missoura instead of Missouri

    Around here, I have heard numerous pronounciations of New Orleans. I've heard it pronounced the following ways:
    New Orle-ans

    New Or-leans

    New Or-lens (that's how I say it)

    (and my favorite) "Nawlins" - 1 word & 1 syllable.

    Here where I live you can easily tell that people are from out of town when they say the city of Mobile's name as Mo-bil or Mo-byle.
