As someone pointed out in a thread a few weeks back, this smacks of the "organizer vs. governor." Obama consistently appears to be confused by what's going on; and I can understand. Someone who has spent their career organizing and campaigning is used to dealing with people who have a common goal and beliefs; politics and governing, however, are dictated by multiple parties with different beliefs and goals.

I'm reminded of a quote from "Ender's Game", although I can't find it word-for-word: When Bean tells Ender he wants to be a platoon commander, Ender asks him why; Bean replies, "Because I know what to do with them." To which Ender responds: "But will they follow you?"

    Mr

The Republicans' ONLY stated objective since President Obama took office has been to block everything he proposed. They have been willing to shut down the government and to bring us to the edge of defaulting on our national debt to accomplish this. They don't care about America. They only care about partisan politics. In that atmosphere I doubt anyone could have been very effective in establishing policy. Face it. The Republican party has done their best to destroy America.

So the GOP has been effective in countering the greatest campaigner in Democrat Party history? Isn't Obama the greatest Democrat ever?

Obama did it to himself by attacking groups like the Little Sisters of the Poor and by lying and saying that you could keep your healthcare plan and your doctor. That and the dead economy is what made Obama unpopular.

Things will be better if the GOP wins veto-proof majorities in both chambers of Congress this fall. Then people will be able to get jobs again.

    Dream on.

The GOP is owned by the same global banks and corporations as the democratic party. Maybe even more so.

Besides it's not the government's job to create jobs. It's the government's job to keep the global banks and corporations from destroying the economy and the middle class along with it. But instead it is the global banks and corporations that get all the protections while the people get the shaft.

Doesn't matter which party is in control because they are both being controlled by the same global banks and corporations.
