In perhaps the most poorly-titled presidential appointee in US History, Director of National Intelligence (*snicker*) James Clapper described the Muslim Brotherhood--a possible player in the Egypt situation--as being "largely secular" and "having eschewed violence."
There is one thing worse than a blooming idiot, and that is a dangerous one.
The Muslim Brotherhood don't even describe themselves in such a way! They are fundamentalist Islam. Our own STATE DEPARTMENT describes them as religious, and we view them OFFICIALLY as a dangerous threat!
Let me see if I've got this: We have an administration who claims that a radical, fundamentalist group is OK...but they're worried about the Tea Party?
Good grief, folks. I know I use hyperbole a bunch...but how on Earth can anyone put a person so monumentally ignorant in a job with the word "Intelligence" in the title? And how on Earth can you allow someone who cannot recognize clear dangers--which have already been enumerated in writing for us--in such an office?
It's like giving a student an open book test, opening the book for them, highlighting the information...and they make a 40 on the test.
President Obama, if you care about the security of this country, fire this Clapper buffoon before we get "Allah Akbarred" to oblivion!
Obama's clueless staff: "Muslim Brotherhood Secular, not violent"

That must be why "muslim" is part of the name.

Please post news articles showing the Muslim Brotherhood was involved in violence in the past 2 weeks in Egypt.
From legitimate news sources, please. -
Please point to the post that made such a claim. -
Why only the last two weeks?
Why only Egypt? -

The Muslim Brotherhood is not on the U.S. Foreign Terrorist Organizations list. It renounced violence in the 1970s and has no active militia (although a provocative martial arts demonstration in December 2006 raised some alarm that they may be regrouping a militia.)
Nevertheless, the Muslim Brotherhood or Ikhwan Al Muslimun in Arabic, is frequently mentioned in relation to groups such as Hamas and Al Qaeda. And, although today they may be best known as the largest independent bloc in the Egyptian parliament, they are nearly always invoked as the origins for extremist visions of Islam that root today's jihadist movements.

It was very vicous and killed many sheep and farm animals.
The humane society got there first and tranc'd it...
Then said, whew!, At least that's taken care of.
The rabid dog was sleeping peacefully on the porch until the child came how from school...
Jer 13:23 Can the Ethiopian change his skin, or the leopard his spots? then may ye also do good, that are accustomed to do evil.
Don't be so short-sighted thinking that a few weeks makes a significant change...
The only time a few weeks could possibly make a siginifcant change is if the muslim brotherhood became the Christian Brotherhood in Salvation and Heart Knowledge!
And, remember that for Radical Islam it is acceptable and expected to lie to infidels... -

So no one will post news stories of the MB being violent during the Egyptian revolution?
Or the last 5 years? 10 years? -

Not sure what distinction you're trying to make.
Post up towards the top of this page: "the Muslim Brotherhood or Ikhwan Al Muslimun in Arabic, is frequently mentioned in relation to groups such as Hamas and Al Qaeda."
The Muslim Brotherhood does not engage in violence; but supports it, and associates with it. -
"It is worth pointing out that Hamas is not merely colluding with the Muslim Brotherhood. Hamas is the Muslim Brotherhood."
-
And even if it did, InTheLight would no doubt next want to see where they were convicted of it in court before he would accept it.
