It is nothing more that a bunch of children who need to go home, look for a real job and move out of mommy and daddy's basement. Go get some real life experience and then come back and talk about what you think you know instead of carrying the water for their college professor who has indoctrinated them. Sheesh talk about brain washed.

Though I agree with the principle of peaceful protest, I tend to agree with your assessment, but probably in softer words :)

Could there be another link someplace? I didn't see any violence or rioting there in this link.

I agree...nothing to see in regards to the OP on this link.

It is interesting that the site linked to seems to obsessed with "White Pride". There are numerous advertisements regarding "White Pride" and links to articles that attempt to discredit blacks from actually inventing things. I wouldn't trust much from this source.

I'm not happy I went to the site. Wish we had been warned about its nature.

The Oakland group of "occupiers" have become a riotous mob. Will other groups, around the nation, turn to violence to make their point?

What do you see coming out of the "Occupy" frenzy??? And is their cause really good for America??? :type:

You didn't really expect anything different , did you?

The something for nothing crowd will always turn violent when they don't get what they want. Most of theses demonstrations are organized and paid for by the communists and socialists that democrats depend on to do their violence for them.

What will be the result? Like the scavengers they are, they will begin to feed on each other. What you are seeing is the beginning of their self destruction, taking Obama and his divide and conquer party with them.

Police said they fired the tear gas on protesters in Oakland, California, after the crowd threw paint and other objects at officers.
Plumes of smoke could be seen in the city as about 500 people defied calls to leave an area of downtown Oakland on Tuesday, according to police. Protesters had camped for weeks in several areas in the city, including near City Hall, police said.
"The city remains committed to respecting free speech as well as maintaining the city's responsibility to protect public health and safety," Oakland police said in a statement.
Oakland resident Andrew Johnson said he decided to leave when police threatened arrests, soon after hearing explosions as tear gas canisters were fired into the air.

From CNN's source though it sound like this was more stupid mob rowdiness than rioting and violence.

Thanks again Curtis for finding a more balanced and less sensational report.

I view this as the same type of uprisings we have seen in South American countries for years, Cuba, (Castro over throwing Batista) in fact you may recall the same Symbol, The Clinched Fist (I see this displayed on many of the messages posted on the social networks) which has been a sign of defiance for hundreds of years in Europe along with the cry Vencermos, we shall over come. I hope I am wrong for the sake of my children and grand children but I am afraid this is just the tip of the iceberg.

You Have Hit the Nail on the Head...

I am afraid this is just the tip of the iceberg.

....and while there are a few on this forum who will claim this is mere sensationalism, or needless fear mongering, I have to agree with you on this point.

And you believe CNN is balanced? Seriously?

At this point these folks don't have the commitment to hold a real revolution. They are too soft and pampered and will go home to their basement rooms in mommy's house as soon as the weather turns had. It is is a 'protest of the month' movement.

Some folks live on their weekly fear fix.
