In about an hour, I'll be leaving to go to the Caucus!
Guess it'll be for Obama, unless I change my mind by then.

Some people aren't one-issue voters.
It's hard to vote for a party when you disagree with most of their platform except for one major issue.

Well, I understand that, but why OBama on the Democrat side?
Then again, you got Hillary...
Never mind...
I just thank God I am not a democrat... That would be a tough choice!

Yep. I wanted Edwards, but he got toasted early. So, hi ho, hi ho, it's off for Barack I go. Hillary, I fear, would be more of the same old business as usual. At least Obama may come in with a fresh perspective. Since I registered as Democrat in 2004 to do the Primary thing then, I have to go to the Democratic caucus. Only two real contenders left. Mike Gravel has no chance, and is just a mean and onery cuss.

A variety of reasons:
1) Distaste for Clinton.
Hillary Clinton isn't exactly a sympathetic figure.
2) Desire for change.
Obama is the "change" candidate.
3) Strategy.
A 40-something, energetic candidate will have an excellent advantage over a 70-something Republican.
There are others, but those are a few.

Tinytim,
When people are operating on such different worldviews, it's hard to understand why people do some things.

What exactly is a Caucus and how does it work? What goes on there?
I'm non-affiliated as I like to vote for who I think is best and not by party line. I will say McCain will not get my vote. I think it's sad if that's the best the GOP has to offer...
