You'll be the FIRST to enroll in the on-line seminary and you know it. And FIRST to get an "A", too, I'd wager.

On-line seminary is very interesting. I did a course from Grace Seminary in Indiana (Missionary Church). There was a text mailed out and weekly lessons to complete. Every Sunday there was a two-hour session in a chat format. Professor and student interchanged what each was learning. It included the best of both worlds: the written lessons and the classroom atmosphere.

Cheers,

Jim

Better than some of the UWW (university without walls) courses I took from seminary in the late 70's trying to finish my D.Min.

36 cassette tapes of classroom lectures, only I wasn't there! Only interaction was in reading and writing papers. Ugly.

Lots of innovation since then. I just don't want to reinvent the wheel.

Morning you old coots, errr, codgers. :D

I got my degree in Medical Transcribing via home correspondance. It is really hard to push yourself for two years without any interaction! It IS ugly. But I did it! Graduated with a 98% average. Not bad for someone in her fifties!

Talking about hard knocks! A tanker truck is stuck on the railroad tracks in front of the store. We've had cops and firetrucks all around in case it begins to leak. They'll ticket him big time. There's signs down the road telling the trucks to turn and cross at another crossing.

A wrecker has arrived and is trying to lift the back of the tanker while the trucker drives forward and over the tracks. I guess the wrecker will back up while the truck goes forward. Every day this happens! Somedays I've seen it more than once. Now they're stopping traffic so they must be ready to attempt this. LOL The cop has a BIG handfull of papers for the driver!

It's not working so I don't know WHAT they'll try next! They're putting some ramp type thing under the tires on the front of the tank itself but now the cab is rocking side to side very badly. Lot of hands on hips and honking cars.

Oh well, kept me entertained for a little while. Plus, the owner called and thinks he'll be in by 5:00 and has to wait for a friend so I'll be able to go home earlier than usual. Neat!

Try an ice pack! Or just stick you head out the front door - it ought to be cold enough there to help with those lumps!

Dan - I'm so helpful - I could just burst!

Actually, I save the lumps for hubby and the iron skillet. ;)

I no longer get asked if I want one lump or two. Now it is one Saccharin or two?

Hey Sue, I must not be as sweet as I used to be. I take 2 1/2 tsp. of sugar in my tea! Of course, I use an oversized mug too.

Us Old Codgers gotta be sweet to each other, right?

Dr. Bob!

You should treat us as at least as nicely as you treat those grandchildren of yours!

Please read "Jack and Jill" to us!

Dan - Pretty please with sugar on top!!
