According to polling by Fox News’ Frank Luntz, there was one remark at the GOP debate that caught more attention than all the other comments of the night.

The remark came from former Arkansas governor Mike Huckabee. Huckabee said:

“Ronald Reagan said trust but verify. President Obama is trust but vilify.

He trusts our enemies and vilifies everyone who disagrees with him. And the reason we disagree with him has nothing to do with party. It has to do with the incredibly dangerous place that this world is going to be as a result of a deal in which we got nothing.

We didn’t even get four hostages out. We got nothing.”
Luntz reported that Huckabee’s statement was the number one “dial clip” of the entire two hour debate – and approached a perfect 100 score.

Absolutely a great line. Huckabee has a lot of them.

All the better because he added examples to support it.
