Completely not true. I told you I'm not a fan of pdl or RW. What I loathe is the dishonest smear tactic used to tear him and his ministry down.

I thought he was the reformed pope, the bearer of all things TULIP?

I would hope you love him as well.

Please point out where I smeared RW. If you cannot then please quit smearing me.

I wouldn't know. I've only barely heard of him.

You know what I meant.

Right, it is theraputic and in no way leads to repentance, and that is what Oprah and her audience wants to hear. Did you see the show. Oprah kept doing her aha's so much I almost got sick. RW really needs to be like a Dr. Phil and counsel people, he's much better at that than preaching God's truths. Heck, I'm sorry he doesn't preach God's word, what am I saying.

Warren had been criticized for leaving out repentance in the prayer he wrote for nonbelievers to pray in his Purpose Driven book.
But with repentance meaning a conformity or shift of the mind, though Warren might not have explicitly articulated it in his book, the idea of it was present throughout the entire book, Piper acknowledged.
Warren – who started preaching at 16 – noted that some people view repentance as a change in behavior. But such a change is not the root; it is rather the fruit of repentance, the megachurch pastor contended.

More slander and misrepresentation. Do you ever get tired of doing it?

You just supplied yourself another picture perfect post of nothing but slander and opinion.

No, I don't get tired of defending true Christianity from those who are bent on weakening the gospel. I feel lead to do so. It's OK you feel lead to defend RW, I'm OK with that, but it is you who seem to be angered here.

Sola, that is a false assumption. Perhaps, WD sees it counter productive to falsely critique another's ministry. I don't know much about RW, but what I do know does not give me great concern, like it apparently does you.

Shouldn't he while on her show be exposed "her deeds done in darkness" to the light of Chrsit, as regards to her false teaching "of demons?"

He can address, diplomatically, false notions that Oprah promulgates. But NO it is not his, yours or my role to expose anything of "deeds done in darkness", that is God's job description.

"Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved." That was Paul. Was he theraputic and not lead his people to repentance?

He did it again in Romans 10 when he said "that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved;"

Let me explain something to all those defending RW. The OP was about what was aired on Oprah's show. Not what was left on the editing room floor or what may have been shared behind the cameras. It wasn't like seeing John MacArthur defending Christianity on Larry King, it was Rick being very accomodating to Oprah and her audience and that is the problem.

Oprah is well known in Christian apologetics as being a universalist who invites all kinds of false teachers on her show. Rick Warren seems to appear as just another one of these guests on her show. As America's pastor IMO he has a responsibility to confront her on her false views (in love) and win her and her audience to Christ. Instead he teaches all this PD stuff that is self esteem disguised as orthodox Christianity.
