I understand standing by his family and supporting them but honestly, this man killed 150 men, women and children. Fathers. Mothers. Sons. Daughters. Sisters. Brothers. Wives. Husbands. Friends.

From the article: "For us, it makes it particularly difficult that the only victim from Montabaur is suspected to have caused this tragedy, this crash - although this has not been finally confirmed, but a lot is indicating that - and we have to face this," pastor Michael Dietrich said.

If he did what he is suspected of doing, he is not a victim.

If a person in your church was accused of a major crime - what would be your reaction - would you be there for them.

I am NOT trying to let this co-pilot off the hook.

Salty, you have touched on a big problem in the church. Far too often if a person is accused of even something minor that person is thrown under the bus by the church. No sadness, no understanding, no offering of help, just attack them, marginalize them, drive them away.

And like you I am not trying to let him off.
