The NRB is whacked anyhow.
-
At least they had enough sense to dump Robertson. I gotta give them credit for that.
Joseph Botwinick -
Now if they get rid of the rest of the merchandising/money changers, it will be a good start.

quote:
"National Religious Broadcasters honor Mel Gibson:
At its 2005-MAR annual convention, the National Religious Broadcasters (NRB) honored Mel Gibson with its Board of Directors Award for his work on "The Passion of the Christ" movie. The Award "honors a Christian who demonstrates integrity, displays creativity and makes a significant impact on society." The NRB is an association of religious broadcasters which limits its membership to Fundamentalist and other Evangelical Christians."
Do I need to say anymore? -
Good riddance!
-
It appears to me, that the NRB is interested in promoting/allowing anything that makes the Christian merchandising registers go "ka ching".That is the "gospel" that I see as being promoted (my opinion).Last year there were followers of the now deceased Jewish rabbi Menachen Schneerson there handing out pamplets about his messianic"return".

Jay Sekulow was elected to the board; I applaud the exchange of seats from one to the other.

I agree, good riddance. That guy needs to know when to keep his mouth shut. His comments have hurt missions efforts in many parts of the world.

I have heard three Preachers in the last month talk about how God used the weather to punish Israel in the OT and yet people get up in arms because Pat suggest that N.O. could be a judment from God. Pat could be right. Everyone wants to forget that N.O. prides itself on being known as Sin City, or that the weekend the storm came it was going to be a huge gay celeberation.
betty -
Have you been to New Orleans? Every weekend is some type huge party!
-
My qualms aren't necessarily with what he said, but I think some things need to be kept "in the family".

It's about time.
