Over the past few years I've had the opportunity to have a few Chinese nationals over for meal. We've asked them about the forced abortions.
Taxation is the primary way that the Chinese keep the population growth in control.
Those that have multiple children are highly taxed.
Most can't afford to have more than one child but some can.
Can't afford it - don't do it.
Nothing good about the forced part though. Another solution should be developed
