Peter and Jonah

    In another thread, Reynolds said: "Pastor, you don't know Peter from Jonah, ..." (Post #20)
    ( and yes, I know one from the other - I was trying to make a point)

    Well, that got me to thinking - what similarities did Peter and Jonah have???

    Similarity #1 - they both have 5 letters in their name (sounds like a 5-point sermon outline)

    Similarity #2 - two vowels each - (two applications for the sermon)

    For the record, I did understand you and was going along with your point.

    Come to think of it they are very similar. Well, Peter prior to Pentecost anyway. Both were very concerned with self preservation. Both would rather see people they did not like killed, rather than converted.
