Is that better than good, or not quite as good as good?
Can you think of any others

Pretty please....what do looks have to do with it? How is "please" considered pretty? Does that mean there is an average please and an ugly please? If so, why don't we use them to?
I can see it now:
son: Dad, can I have a pop with breakfast, ugly please?
dad: No
son: average please?
dad:no
son: pretty please?
dad: oh, alright since you went all the way to the pretty please...and to keep you from adding sugar on top -

(How can this be?)
"I could care less."
