The 17 terror suspects had allegedly plotted to blow up the Parliament Building in Ottawa, take over or destroy the Canadian Broadcast Corporation's headquarters (didn't Peter Jennings's father, Charles, work at CBC a long time ago?) in Toronto, and hold the Prime Minister hostage and behead him if the 2,300 Canadian troops don't withdraw from Afghanistan.

I just hope my country doesn't panic and create an ugly atmosphere. I've been through two major wars and I am not going to panic over a handful of maniacs.

Decided to just copy and paste my comments from another thread regarding this new information.

I heard on the news today that the Police and Government of Canada doggedly chose not to identify the terrorists as Muslims in the beginning until the media discovered their identity. . Since I do not live in Canada I will ask those that do, why???

Those who are in denial of the true intent of these whackjobs should wake up and realize other countries have been attacked or attacks have been thwarted. Who are you going to blame now, let me guess…President Bush. :rolleyes:
