(btw, you may want to look for complete quote on what he said. That 400,000 goes back into business investment and does something called job creation.)
I didn't read anything about Fleming complaining about paying taxes either. Yes, he was opposed to Obama's proposed tax hike, but I did not see him quoted saying that taxes took too large a bite out of his personal income.
Yes, because when I think about working the sandwich counter at Subway the phrase "large salaries" immediately springs to mind. I'm sure his employees thought that a job at Subway would lead to riches.
No doubt if he did pay his Subway employees "large salaries" the price of sandwiches would go up and these same libs/dems would be screaming "price gouging" and "excess profits".
The problem is that he shouldn't have made any reference to "feeding his family."
His family could eat in a nice restaurant every night without putting that much strain on their budget.
He could make the argument about job creation, etc., but the comment about "feeding his family" was idiotic and completely out of touch.
WHY DOES anyone think that 20 times minimum wage is "rich?" Why should not be the norm for a manager or professional person to be worth 20 times minimum wage? Should not a doctor be worth 20 times minimum wage?
I guess I will sign off now so I can go cry for this poor businessman.
Perhaps we can put him on our church pantry list to make sure his poor family doesn't go hungry.
After all, he's scraping the bottom of the barrel at this time.
Without help, no telling just how bad it will get for this poor family. :tear:
Anybody want to comment on the predicament facing Latrell Sprewell in 2004? He was playing basketball for the Minnesota Timberwolves and was about to become a free agent after the 2004-2005 season ended. The Wolves offered him a contract extension valued at $21 million over 3 years. His response?
"I have a family to feed ... If Glen Taylor wants to see my family fed, he better cough up some money. Otherwise, you're going to see these kids in one of those Sally Struthers commercials soon. Why would I want to help them win a title? They're not doing anything for me. I'm at risk. I have a lot of risk here. I got my family to feed.''
Profit is a dirty word and keeping what you earn is a sin to a liberal.
They spend the majority of their time trying to steal the wealth that
successful people spend so much time to create.
It's a rare that a successful small business owner spends less than 60-80 hours a week trying to make a decent profit in his business.
Liberals believe he should be punished for it.
Shouldn't Congress members be accomplished businessmen?
Isn't it preferable to have someone representing us in government who has done more than simply being a professional politician?
Then you think that all elected politicians are "living off our tax dollars" and do not earn their pay?
Do you include the current President in this?
Couldn't help but to point out that Obama has never held a productive job - other than as a guest lecturer (not a professor) and street organizer.
And nobody (NOBODY!!) is a bigger whiner than that guy.
And talk about living off our tax dollars !!!!
The luxury vacations - flying off in two jets when one would do just fine.
Having a professional chef flown into the White House because he wanted pizza.
Jetting around the country to play golf.
Renting the entire Taj-mahal.
The list is endless.
Perhaps you shouldn't go much further down this particular road that you have chosen.
