But the imputation of Christ's Righteousness has nothing to do with you. It's about Him and His Righteousness. :)

Forgive me if I sound pedantic. I do not mean to be, but there are times we need to be precise with terminology.

"Impose" is probably not the best word to use when describing how God brings His will to pass in our lives. The word has a generally negative connotation, i.e. a judge imposing judgment on a convicted criminal. When it comes to dead sinners, "regeneration" is a better word. God literally changes us to make us a new creature (2 Cor. 5:17). While we are not humanly perfect (as we will be in the eternal state), we are in the process of being conformed to the image of Christ (Phil. 1:6).

I am sure there are. I do not exactly want my life broadcast on the silver screen for everyone to see. The question to ask is whether we take God at His word?

2 Corinthians 5:17-19 17 Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come. 18 Now all these things are from God, who reconciled us to Himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation, 19 namely, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and He has committed to us the word of reconciliation.

    What a wonderful passage.

I also rest on that wonderful chapter 8 of Romans.

Starting with “Therefore” it concludes with “Jesus Christ our Lord.”

Every verse between is all of Him and for His Glory.

No. Our growth, IE transformation, is a function or being born again, just as growing physically and maturing is a function of our physical birth.

Long ago, I had a short conversation with one who was from China and in that conversation the binding of the baby girl's feet was brought up.

It was interesting how growth occurred despite the binding, however, the binding cause the growth to be distorted and eventually the feet unusable.

The binding of sinfulness and lack of sound teaching also distorts that in which the believer should grow, and distorts it into that which is marred and perhaps of little value.

What was further discussed was the attitude of how such feet were considered esteemed, and the efforts it took to bring change.

There was a great parallel to that of the growth and maturity of the believer.

It was a whole two weeks ago, and in direct response to your questioning. How's your memory?

    So you are claiming
    is your answer?

The question remains "Why did God open your eyes and not Uncle Billy's eyes?"

Yes, that is my answer. (And I don't know why my link was directed to SheepWhisperer's post.)

The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear the sound of it, but cannot tell where it comes from and where it goes. So is everyone who is born of the Spirit.”

Yes, we all know that. But the question was "Why did God open your eyes and not Uncle Billy's eyes?"

I'm not going to speculate on why God does what He does when it comes to how the Holy Spirit influences and leads people. No one can know this.
