Dear Friends,
On Sunday April 2, on RT 60 in Kanawha Co. there was a two vehicle accident involving 8 people. 5 of those people perished in the wreck. A ministers wife, his sister in law and a friend in one vehicle. The other vehicle contained a couple from my church and their grandchildren. The couple were killed on impact and the two grandchildren were transported to CAMC General. The minister who was driving, is in ICU at CAMC. One of the grandchildren was released on Monday and the second should be released today, Tuesday. As you can imagine, this is a trying time on our church and the community. I am writing this as a plea for your prayers, for me, our church, our community and this area as this has been titled as "One of the worst accidents in Kanawha County History." Thank you all!!
God Bless
Chanon

Praying. We attended Grace Baptist under Dr. Caldwell in Charleston when I was a kid... Isn't Charleston in Kanawha County?
Oops. Now I see Gauley Bridge under profile. My cousin grew up around there, back up one of the "hollars". -
So sorry
will be praying for your church and families involved and God's will. -
How tragic. I was raised in an ajoining county (Boone) also "up a holler"

Add this prayer, I have suddenly become very ill and preach the funeral on Thursday. I need an extra dose of 'healing' Thank you all for your continued prayers and thoughts. The family seems to be ok, maybe a little shock but it will be a long road to restoring joy. Both children seem to be ok as well, so Praise the Lord for that!!
