I found this quote on a news source:
It's unclear what the allegations will mean to Cain's political prospects. The Georgia businessman regularly criticizes the mainstream media for writing off his candidacy. "Message is more powerful than media," he says on the campaign trail.
And among conservative voters -- who are distrustful of the media -- the charges could galvanize support for him.
Do you agree? Will this help gain more support for Cain?
Publicity for Cain

The news from the left-sided politicos and their press has already backfired on them (dejavu - Clarence Thomas).
Plus the recent history of some of their own darlings (including a past president) and how they handled their pecadillos clearly reveals to the public their inconsistency in passing judgment.
Still, (IMO) it is only going to get worse.

When the print trash stories like they have they lose credibility and only make the candidate look better.

I think Cain scares the democratic powers-that-be. A black conservative is the last man Obama wants to run against.
Attack early, attack often. -
I do not think this has anything to do with people wanting to get him. This is news if it were Obama, Romney or Cain.
I personally think his campaign is over now that one of the accusers wants to come forward. If they don't let her, it will sink his campaign. If they do let her, it will probably sink his campaign.
Personally, I never thought this would last long and felt he would implode. He imploded in how he handled this situation.
So, who is the next front runner? -
Time will tell.

So all this publicity about Cain and the alleged sexual harassment - what did it do to his fund raising?

It has everything to do with the left discrediting him. As has been said Obama does not want to go up again a black conservative. It is dirty politics and a trash story. the Enquirer should be proud.

News agencies are not letting this alone.
Now they are saying that this one woman wants to go public with her story.
So, it will then turn out to be "she said", "he said"... and unprovable allegations with denials which will make folk suspicious of one or the other side.
In any case, I think this is going to backfire and draw more sympathy for Cain than animosity in the long run because of the emotional manner of the attack along with the very real and obvious motive from the left to desire to slander him.
Geraldo Rivera seemed beside himself with glee as he broke the rumor last week.
Kind of like how the right went heck-bent after President Clinton (which I thought was in really poor taste) concerning his indiscretion(s). Although in his case substantive evidence was brought forth.
The American politicking scene is kind of like those piranha theme movies where the unfortunate victim who falls prey to the fish (American press) comes forth as a skeleton picked clean of flesh.
If it turns out that Herman Cain doesn't survive this then Mitt will be the Republican candidate.
That will please the left.
My opinion of course.
