Man, I’d take your hypothetical headline over the real one we just witnessed any day of the week.

Nice(?) retort, but still does not answer the question!! - "Please specify the "crime" you attribute to him (Trump)!"

Reality is that regardless of which "headline" was real, it would be fodder for a TDS display of baseless venom!

Trump's crime? He beat this person's candidate.

You're right, though, they would be going insane again no matter what Trump said or did. It's funny to hear them scream treason at Trump because he didn't take up for the Deep State, the same people that have been trying to get rid of him since 2015.

I think Trump did fine. What will make you happy? Nuke Russia?
Trump definitely did much better than Kennedy did with Krushchev.

If Trump thinks Putin got the better of him, then Putin is in trouble. Trump hates getting the short end.

Didn't you hate to see all those beautiful people newscasters cry over Helsinki on live TV? It was as sad as the day when the unicorns were singing and playing in the rain and missed the Ark.

What it shows me is that conservatives are willing to criticize other conservatives if they believe it,s justified. Cannot imagine MS-NBC and Rachael Maddow ever doing the same with Obama or Hillary.

What "fact?" Do you have any justification for saying this? Trump himself is now trying to back-track on his remarks at the summit.

    Sure:

President Trump imposed new sanctions on Russian organizations and individuals tied to malicious cyber-attacks against the U.S.

These sanctions are part of a broader effort to address ongoing nefarious attacks emanating from Russia and additional sanctions are forthcoming.

Last year, President Trump signed legislation imposing punitive sanctions on Russia for belligerent activities including human rights abuses, and evasion of existing sanctions.

Throughout 2017, President Trump worked to punish Russia for its belligerent behavior in Ukraine.

President Trump sanctioned more than three dozen organizations and individuals involved in the Russian incursion into Ukraine.

Trump approved the largest sale of lethal defense weapons to Ukrainian forces in years in a move widely praised by U.S. and Ukrainian officials.

In response to Russia's retaliation over U.S. sanctions, the Trump administration ordered Russia to close its consulate in San Francisco and two diplomatic annexes in New York and Washington.

The Trump administration has condemned Russian leaders for violations of human rights, and strongly condemned Russia for an attempted assassination in the U.K., calling the action an "assault on U.K. sovereignty" and a "clear violation" of international law.

President Trump has taken concrete actions to bolster the NATO alliance against Russian influence.

The Trump administration has increased training and drills with U.S. NATO partners.

In 2018, the Department of Defense plans to increase European Deterrence Initiative spending by $1.4 billion dollars.

NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg said European members and Canada, amid pressure from President Trump, spent 5% more on defense last year compared to 2016.

“Treason against the United States,” says Section 3, Article III, of the U.S. Constitution, “shall consist only in levying war against them, or in adhering to their enemies, giving them aid and comfort.” It’s the only crime explicitly defined in the nation’s founding charter. The framers clearly wanted it used sparingly, declaring that “no person shall be convicted of treason unless on the testimony of two witnesses to the same overt act, or on confession in open court.”

I can't figure out how to copy the video link but here is a link on David Harris Jr.'s website that shows CNN and MSNBC TV commentators getting hysterical about a press conference that did not amount to a hill of beans but they made is sound as if it were a Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day. If you scroll down, you will find a short video of the hysterical TV commentators. I think the hysteria deals with the fact that Putin said that someone got away with $400,000,000, which sounds like the Clintons, huh?

Watch the video if you have time. It is very short.

What you're calling the Deep State is the intelligence community of the U.S. Trump criticized them and praised the dictator of a hostile foreign power. While I agree there is a Deep State, I think a lot more evidence needs to be provided as to who they are before this kind of action is taken. We can start by having a thorough, objective evaluation of what really happened on 9/11.

Dan Coats is from Indiana and I met him once. Do you think that he issued his statement at Trump's request or that he acted on his own? Coats is a Christian but I don't know what happened here. Trump is trying to normalize relations with Russia in order to isolate China and their puppet North Korea to stop their military aggressions which also threatens Russia. Part of the problem is that the Clintons seemed to have gotten $400,000,000 from the Russians instead of the $145,000,000 that they admitted to.

Hmm, I was alive and in the military (USAF) when we had the Cuban Missile crisis.

I was a JFK Democrat at the time. John Kennedy averted WWIII by calling Khrushchev's bluff making him take back the missiles intended to destroy American cities.

Yeah, but (Don't you just hate it when someone says that?), Reynolds is correct that it was JFK's weakness at the summit that persuaded Khrushchev to put the missiles in Cuba in the first place. And Khrushchev said himself that the reason that he pulled them was that Fidel and his ugly brother Raul and his insane sidekick Che wanted to use them on New York City and start WW III, which the Russians did not want by any means. Khrushchev decided the Cubans were too insane to be trusted with nuclear weapons and he pulled them. The Castros went on to murder and imprison and to discriminate against Afro-Cubans to this day, as you know.
