Profanity and vulgarity are not synonymous. The problem is that many so-called Christians use profanity regularly. I am speaking of any use of God’s name or euphemism for His name as slang. This is profanity because we have made the sacred common. This is not a gray area—God’s name in any form is sacred and deserves reverence.
Crude words used by common folks, such as farmers who shovel the stuff, are not on the same level of profanity.
