My grandson goes to PCC as well as several our church members' children. I am hearing of some issues involving the signing of contracts in order to enforce their ideas of right and wrong which if I understand correctly are not always biblical but subjective in their presentation.
I would like some feed back on this school. I also understand that academically they are highly rated.

From what I hear, solid academics and well respected that way. Rigid...yes. There is a web site I found once with posts from students/former students who vent about some of those issues and what they see as ridiculous, stupid, etc
As I say, good school academically but with the limitations that may come from an unaccredited degree. I once thought about doing their EdD program.

Until I hear of something more definite, I'd say all that's being asked of the students is to sign off on the College's Student Handbook (the Rules and Regs). I had to do the same thing back in the day when I went to West Point on the Rock River.
All this means is agreement to abide and support the school's rules while being a student. Though there may be some carry over to vacation periods (Christmas, Spring Break, and Summer). I wouldn't think the agreement goes beyond that. However, I've heard of dumber things in my time. -
PCC is FAR less rigid than West Point that's for sure!!

Good point IFB :)

I considered going there a long time ago, but when they told me that I had to cut my hair before I would be accepted, I told them to get bent.

As much as I Hate to admit it.
I've heard horror stories about that college, and I am as IFB as they come.
good place to ask questions is:
pccboard.com
Ask questions there. Good place to start.

They had asked me about playing soccer for them (back in the dark ages). When I went down to check things out, I had one of those early-model walkman's, and was listening to AD, I think (a Christian band from the early '80's). The PCC guy asked me what I was listening to, I told him, and he coughed up his skull in disgust.
Thank God for walkman's. He saved me from being a dropout. And I got a great education (somewhere else) to boot. -
Great band! "The Fury waits above the skys" Was my favorite! Keith Livgreen from Kansas was in that group. -

Also, Windork you are definitely a study in contradictions...you call the SotL apostate and then share memories of Christian Rock bands? Interesting range of extremes you have   -

Wrong Forum for that. You're in Dr. Bob, TomVol and BibleBoy's tender hands on this forum.
As for PCC's rules, are we sure they didn't procure a copy of Naval Regs from the Air Station and Training Command? -
My wife attended there a semester 20yrs. ago.
She got wrote up for wearing pant pajamas instead of a gown. I kid you not.
My three young daughters use ABEKA homeschool material. It is top notch. I appreciate their desire for excellence etc... Yet I'm telling you they border on the cultic down there.
BTW, I really don't dig CCM, I'm IFB and pretty traditional in my methods etc... Yet I will never let one of my daughters go to that school. Even if it is only about 5500 a year. -

Advice to the opening poster: Don't believe everything you read about PCC on the Internet or Baptist Board. Most of the critics have some personal issue with PCC. IMHO, this says much more about the critic than PCC. You can't please everyone and PCC is not for everyone. Check out their philosophy and beliefs for yourself; disregard all the supposedly inside advice by disgruntled people. PCC doesn't please everyone and its naysayers are known for being vocal and loud. Many people are very happy and enthusiastic about PCC; some are disgruntled. If it was as bad as the detractors claim, then PCC wouldn't have any students or faculty. Something is working for them because they are growing and flourishing. You must decide for yourself.
