Can ANYBODY post Scriptural definitions of the "H" word we are tossing about?
Even veiled references to "the word we cannot say but I am saying to this guy" is just NOT cool folks.
Here ya go;
Ac 24:14
But this I confess unto thee, that after the way which they call heresy, so worship I the God of my fathers, believing all things which are written in the law and in the prophets:
2Pe 2:1
But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.
Tit 3:10
A man that is an heretick after the first and second admonition reject;
a) heresy as applied to the Christian way.
b) heresy as applied to denying the Lord Jesus
c) heresy as applied to people who preach it should be banned/shunned
I contend the NONE of the Biblical parameters of this word are being brought to this or any other discussion in this forum.
And IF the MOD.'s or ADMIN believe otherwise, they are NOT being Biblical. They should just ban such people. Myself included.
In HIS service;
Jim
Ah, yes all Spanish speakers can understand written Castillian, but there are words that are used in some countries that mean different things in another country. Just as their are different English dialects there are different Spanish dialects.Originally posted by azguitarist:
by the way, castillian spanish is under stood by all spanish speakers...and to say they i will think they are speaking another language is crazy since they use the same or very much the same spanish bible...
One big difference. Here you have scriptural proof. The words of the prophet.Jer 36:32 Then took Jeremiah another roll, and gave it to Baruch the scribe, the son of Neriah; who wrote therein from the mouth of Jeremiah all the words of the book which Jehoiakim king of Judah had burned in the fire: and there were added besides unto them many like words.
So God is not barred from restoring His word at any time, is He?
You are right! To ask "which one" of the KJV editions is the same thing as "which one" of the MVs. With that admission, KJVO-ism cannot stand.Originally posted by GrannyGumbo:
To ask "which one" is the same as me asking you "which one" of the MVs do YOU consider your faithful companion. Not many, if any, have ever answered. Just pick ONE, only ONE. What is it you use for your day by day walk with Jesus? What is it you use to know Him by? Can't you pick just one? I can. My straight-stick. One Bible. One God. Hasn't failed me in all these 50+ yrs. Never failed those before me either.
Me too Granny. I can read His words just the way He spoke them in Greek and Hebrew.I can be absolutely sure that when I open my ONE Bible that is the pure Word of God as He spoke it. It is HIM alone I hear when I read HIS only words.
Also in 1611 Granny when many saints some of which were our baptist brethren were persecuted and even martyred because the resisted the new Bible King James "authorised" preferring the Geneva over the KJV.No one had any problems with it. God is the same God today as He was back then.
I understand Granny and I can rejoice with you because your faith is pure and is that of a little child.Well, I can't, Hank. I only know Him by the only Book I've ever used...the same one my folks used & theirs before them, etc...and it wasn't in Greek or Hebrew.
