Now, since you think the disputed passage "in context" applies only to the disciples or the the believers of that day and time, is the same true of v. 15-- And He said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation. ? My suspicion is you don't want this part of it to fall under your "context" explanation, so you think it doesn't.
Oh, but it does! It was the disciples He was directly addressing who were told to go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. Our commission is found in the book of Acts, "you shall be witnesses unto Me, . . . . to the uttermost parts of the earth."

In that case the disciples were miserable failures, since they came nowhere close to reaching the uttermost parts of the earth. They didn't come to America, Greenland, Austrailia... or in order to stand by what you said, do you think they did?

Then the apostle Paul lied. That would also mean that God lied since the Holy Spirit inspired him to write:

Colossians 1:23
If ye continue in the faith grounded and settled, and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which ye have heard, and which was preached to every creature which is under heaven; whereof I Paul am made a minister;

Nobody can possibly be that dumb. You have no concept of context at all, do you? Have you ever heard the word "hyperbole?" How about "metaphor?" Either of those ring a bell?
