First thing you realize is unfavorable polls will be violently contested. That's how many deal with cognitive dissonance; rejecting parts of new information to nurse their brain pain.

Trump is openly abusive body shaming women and calling his competitors all sorts of name. His lifestyle is clearly unchristian from buying prostitutes' silence to making sexist remarks.

I think this is what makes white evangelicals conflicted. The man who is supposed to represent their pet values is at odds with Christianity. Some even call him Cyrus, a heathen used by God to bring about his will. That's how they accommodate his excesses

As for the reliability of polls, they indicated Clinton would win the election in 2016. So much for polls.

I'll be bluntly honest, your choices are between freedom and socialism.

Those being polled often fail to vote.

I see them as completely rejecting any form of organized religion.

If you don't do Facebook, how do you know it's on Clint's page?

Yeah, I get most of these, complete with the counties that voted at over 100%, but what’s up with the Mississippi/Arkansas blue vote? Is that the black vote that she pandered to with her fake southern drawl?

True, but the polls indicated she'd win the electoral college, as well.

That was my wording. The article breaks down groups into categories like Evangelical Protestant, Roman Catholic, Mainline, etc. It's a short article, worth a quick read. It even looks at things like Evangelical Protestant in areas hard hit by COVID-19.

I refuse to participate in any of these polls, so I KNOW that many results are off by a minimum of 1; and I suspect that there are scads more of my ilk.
Also, I strongly suspect that many just give any answer just to get the poller to move on to the next sheep.:Rolleyes

This is hilarious. I can't recall a President in history more body and looks shamed than Trump.

As usual, the very thing leftists accuse Trump of, they're doing themselves.

She won the fifth district in Mississippi. That is a gerrymandered district drawn to be majority black. It includes parts of Jackson proper and the Delta. The delta is an economically depressed area because of the mechanization of farming. A large number of citizens left there are below poverty. The rest of the district is Jackson. A city where everyone who can afford to has moved to the suburbs. What you see as Democratic in Mississippi are the areas where the majority of people left are those who are too poor to leave.

Trump is the president and the 'leftists' are not. Common sense
