What is this source of synergistic hot air? It essentially subdivides out what salvation is and places half in the hands of mankind. Under that model, none would ever be saved.

I am agreeing with the bible that God intended the death of jesus to save some and not all!

The greek does NOT state that, as Peter was stating that the false teachers who denied the Lord jesus were teaching that as damnable heresy, just as his teaching of Christian Univeralsim would be!

I remember R.C. Sproul telling a story with regard to regeneration. I believe he said he was in Switzerland and was speaking with a young Christian who admitted he was living with a young woman. Dr. Sproul then lovingly admonished him by reminding him that he wasn't supposed to be doing things like that. The young man quickly replied and said that it was okay because he was a carnal Christian. The conversation continued of course, but the young man was unable to link wrongdoing with his lifestyle because he described himself as regenerated, implying fully regenerated. Dr. Sproul immediately jumped to an incredible point. After presenting the life, humility, and writings of Paul, especially noting Romans 7:15, he asked the young man if he thought he was further along or perhaps more righteous than Paul, to which he replied "Yes." This was the first time but certainly not the last time I had heard of the idea of instant and complete regeneration. In fact, it even slowly worked it's way into a family member. What a family discussion that was.

Regeneration is punctiliar. Salvation is a life long process.

Splitting hairs...Salvation and regeneration are the same coin. Both occur at the moment God adopts us as His child.
Sanctification is the process by which we work out our salvation. This process is lifelong.

"the moment God adopts us as His child."

Which is before you were created, as some say, "Before the foundation".

Hence the argument the Elect are never "saved" because they were never in trouble to begin with.

Folks you have to be in danger to be rescued and saved.

"Elect" as Calvinist present the term, Have never been in danger at all.

Name one elect who was in danger ever. Its absurd.
