President Donald Trump reportedly plans to sign an executive order this weekend reinstating the “Mexico City policy,” banning foreign aid from going to nongovernmental organizations — like the International Planned Parenthood Federation — that offer abortions.
The policy could be re-established as early as Sunday, according to a report from Foreign Policy, the 43rd anniversary of the Supreme Court decision on Roe v. Wade.

Clinton rescinded the policy on his 2nd day in office in 1993.
George W. Bush reinstated it on his 2nd day in office in 2001. He had promised to do this numerous times and made good on his promise.
Obama rescinded the policy on his 3rd day in office in 2009.
Romney promised to reinstate it on his 1st day in office. He repeatedly promised to do this.
Trump has said nothing about it.
----
From the ForeignPolicy article:
Trump could reinstate the policy as early as Sunday, according to a congressional staffer.
Trump spokesman Sean Spicer said on a press call Wednesday that Trump will issue a number of executive orders on Friday and Monday, but he declined to comment to FP on whether reinstating the Mexico City policy will be among them.

Wondering why Trump is keeping his intentions on this secret. Keeping an eye on this.

Here's the latest news.

WASHINGTON – President Donald Trump plans to take executive action on a nearly daily basis for a month to unravel his predecessor’s legacy and begin enacting his own agenda, his aides say, part of an extended exercise of presidential power to quickly make good on his campaign promises.
But in a reflection of the improvisational style that helped fuel his rise, he has made few, if any, firm decisions about which orders he wants to make, or in which order. That is a striking break from past presidents, who have entered office with detailed plans for rolling out a series of executive actions that set a tone for their presidencies and send a clear message about their agendas.
It was clear that Trump had devised no such strategy by his first day in office, as advisers expressed doubt until the last moments about whether he would issue any directives Friday. “It’s going to be a gameday decision,” Sean Spicer, the White House press secretary, told reporters that afternoon.
“There are a number that are being looked at, but it’s just a question of which ones he feels like doing, and when,” Spicer had said of executive orders earlier Friday. In recent days, he had said Trump’s top aides were still deciding on the “sequencing” of the unilateral actions.

Hmmm... How shall we best stage these directives to get the maximum public relations impact for Dear Leader?
Meanwhile, babies continue to be aborted overseas with US taxpayer funding.

Yesterday was the 44th anniversary of the Roe vs. Wade decision. Trump promised conservatives he would appoint Supreme Court justices that would overturn this horrendous decision. As a symbolic gesture and an opportunity to bolster the hopes of conservatives he could have and should have signed an executive order to defund Planned Parenthood International.
Again, Reagan did this, George W. Bush did this. Both did so within 2 days of taking office. Why not Trump? Why not yesterday on the Roe v. Wade anniversary?
