That's what it is. Asking women to provide their own birth control is now called a war on women.

If I refuse to pay for their meals, it will be called a war on food.

If I ask for section 8 housing to be reigned in, it's a war on shelter.

I'm going to address a quote you had in this (it didn't cut, so I'm doing it here) and I'm going to break it down

    Part 1:
-Republicans don't feel this way, and they need to be more clear about it. I think for the most part, you won't see the republicans (most of them anyways) preaching abstinence. What they don't want is to foot the bill for it whatever happens after sex, and they (we) shouldn't.

    Part 2
As I said, it's not the taxpayers problems to pay for the irresponsibility of other people. The only people who should be paying for Planned Parenthood or contraceptives are the ones who intend to use it. And I can't even believe I'm saying that on Planned Parenthood and the evil that it is.

    Part 3
Getting pregnant is the result of an action. That action could be responsible, or irresponsible, but that's ultimately irrelevant. Food Stamps, Medicaid, Medicare and Welfare all had their place, but they've been greatly abused. They should be cut back, because the irresponsibility that it has caused has led to a sense of entitlement, and a large sense of laziness on the Americans who abuse the sytem.

    Part 4
I'm not sure you're making a point, are you? The problem here is in the rhetoric used by the conservatives. Simple as that. They aren't wrong, they just have a terrible time of how to state their issue.

Your last statement (your own, not the quote I've been using) I think is right. If the republicans can't save face they are screwed.
