“At some point, we have to deal with the fact that there are at least two candidates who could utterly destroy the Republican bench for a generation if they became the nominee,” said Josh Holmes, a former chief of staff to Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell. “We’d be hard-pressed to elect a Republican dogcatcher north of the Mason-Dixon or west of the Mississippi.”
Boy, this is pushed by some site that calls itself "real liberal politics." Since Republicans being unelectable is exactly what you and that site would want, there is no reason to it, or you, seriously.
It would appear you have not read my numerous
posts in the
past as to why it is important that the GOP
remain a viable party whether I support it or not. One lesson of history is that when one party dominates for a long period of time very bad things start to happen. What I would like is for the GOP to move toward being a party of all the people and not just a party for we Whites. For many years I was registered and usually voted Republican. However, with the gradual shift the party took after Nixon instituted the Southern Strategy I could not longer support a party that I felt had become primarily interested in only big business, the rich and a party supporting only one race, the White race. It was not that my political philosophy changed. It was that the GOP changed.
It will be a disaster if the GOP disappears or becomes non-viable for a generation or two.
It's a lie. We cannot out lib liberals. In recent years everytime we have put forth truely conservative candidates they win. McConnel and his ilk are liberals. The op is a fools errand and nothing more than an opportunity to call people racist. When you take a look of the line up of Republican candidates and the line up of Democrat candidates we can see who is only for white people.
Hint: it is not the Republicans, we are about as diverse as one can get. Unlike the Dems
From Nixon to Reagan to Bush to Trump. The spiral has been downward to more and more extreme candidates. And it is leading to the demise of the GOP. And, as I have said, that will be a tragedy for the USA. We need two viable parties who are for all the people and not just interested in helping the rich corporations and rich people.
If we had a party for ALL the people, we would only need one party.
But today -
some think that it is the governments job to take care of everyone - thus the liberals
some think that it is an individuals responsibility to take care of himself - thus the conservatives
Salty, and then there are those, like me, who take a stance in the middle and say there are those who can take care of themselves and they should and there are those who cannot take care of themselves and we who are blessed should help them.
Then there are those like me that take the stance that those who can take care of themselves shouldn't let those who refuse to take care of themselves use government force to coerce those who can take care of themselves into taking care of those who refuse to take care of themselves.
Those who can take care of themselves have always been willing and happy to help those who can't take care of themselves.
Charity = love, it comes from the heart freely.
Forcing Peter to take care of Paul = robbery, it comes from coercion at a cost.
WWJD? Use government to force Peter to take care of Paul and call it charity?
Should we help others ? - YES !
as individuals!
But how do we help others - just give someone something - that is enabling
We best help others - by assisting them to improve themselves. - that is real help
bottom line - it is NOT the governments job to provide give-a-way programs - that is A mission of the church.
GIVE
a man a fish, he will eat for a day - TEACH him how to fish, and he will eat for a lifetime.
Just more leftist propaganda.
They are deathly afraid of a conservative, any conservative.
But their fear of Trump knows no bounds.
He's not even a conservative.
