"They don't want you to have sex, get pregnant, prevent pregnancy, and if you want to avoid pregnancy, don't use birth control. And if you're going to use birth control, they don't want to pay for it. And if you want to run down the street to Planned Parenthood, well, they want to cut the funding for that. And if you get pregnant, have the baby. But they want to cut funding programs like food stamps, Medicaid, Medicare, welfare, etc."
This writer accidentally bumped into a connection between out of wedlock sex and dependence on food stamps, Medicaid and welfare.
It seems to me that women should be more upset with the Democrats urging of women into a life of poverty and dependence on hand outs from the government.
I really wish y'all would keep the door shut; too much hot air coming in!!
Seriously, the comments here are straight out of the ILO*! Nobody but a Head-In-Sand liberal could have come up with these accusations.
Goebbels would have been extremely proud!!
:BangHead:
John, start a thread on the issues and I will discuss them.
By the way, all of the Republican apologists avoid the real subject of this thread, i.e. the real or not real perception that Republicans are at war against women and that it will cost them dearly if they do not convince the American voter differently.
Hardly, Leslie Marshall is not the topic. The topic is the perception by a growing number of women that Republicans are at war with them. How can the Republicans change this belief?
As in thread-after-thread you refuse to discuss leaves me with the belief that you are incapable of expressing an opinion on a topic. You can attempt to insult, but you seem incapable of expressing a coherent idea. When you find you can think and discuss I will do so.
Can you answer the questions above. If not ...................... I do find you very amusing.
The perception that republicans are at war with women is a fabrication by liberals in an effort to turn women against conservatives.
IMHO, it is not a "real subject", it is merely a lie.
And the dishonestly of the current administration is becoming more apparent every day.
Class warfare is all Obama has got for ammo, and it is wearing thin on the pubic.
Republicans hate women, poor people, gays, immigrants and even elderly people????
Really? What Republican has said this?
How bout the old lie that "The Republicans are for big business, and the Democrats are for the working man"?
Most educated people don't believe those old campaign lies any more.
People are smarter than you give them credit for.
Romney is focusing on Obama now that the primary is all but decided, and Obama's approval ratings will tank again as soon as Santorum and Gingrich are gone.
You see this as a major issue because you are a liberal and are grasping for anything to hang on to.
Well, hang on tight because it's gonna be a bumpy ride from here to Nov.
I believe the moral and social agenda of the Democrats, (especially Obama's and the Clinton's), to be evil.
And I believe that good will eventually prevail.
John, thanks for a rational answer. I appreciate it very much.
Now let's go on a bit.
Forget your and my religious and moral beliefs and let's talk about the issue of the election. [by the way I am against abortion].
Now why would women believe that Republicans have their interest at heart when they see Republican state legislators, as Leslie Marshall wrote:
It is not a matter of my agreeing or disagreeing with what she said. It is a growing perception among women and many men. How can the Republicans counter this perception while passing laws doing what she says most women want while opposing proposed laws that a majority of women see as helping them?
Step back and look at it as a woman might look at it.
On your last sentence I see the Republican stances as immoral in many of these areas. Christ supported and helped people. The only folk he condemned were those who tried to use religion for their own good. But that is another topic and might be a good thread in which to discuss this topic
