Good to see he's carrying on the high moral tradition we've come to expect from the "family values party."

Would you expect anything higher from Snow or PJ concerning Rush? I bet it won't be long before Crabby links this to somehow being Bush's fault.

No, it is Rush's fault. Who could live with an ego like his.

Family values .... I guess Rush's take on this is one wife at a time, but multiple lives in a lifetime. Maybe he should have followed Bush's example and stay married to his first wife.

He must be a slow learner ... 4 wives?

He also reportedly hired Sir Elton John to play his wedding. For a million dollars.

Don't get me wrong. I'm a big Elton fan, but he doesn't seem to jell with Rush's purported viewpoints.

Interesting. More family values?

It is strange that Rush, an avowed Gay basher has married a woman with a long record of working for gay rights.

This is a very different attitude than your concern for Gore splitting from his wife.

You were not critical of Gore for splitting from his wife.

And you are not saddened by Limbaugh's broken marriages.

What's up with that?

As a Christian shouldn't you have the same feelings about broken marriages no matter who it is?

You know - it has something to do with Christian values.

Shouldn't you also expect yourself to live up to your professed Christian values?

Not surprising at all. Many of these radio talk show host realize that they are in the entertainment industry, and as such, they pander to certain audiences and take positions that privately they may not even support, just to jerk people's chains and for higher ratings. Kinda reminds me of the WWF.

Wow.

I'm not a Rush fan by any means, but the vicious, self-righteous tone needs to stop!

Rush has not claimed to be a follower of Jesus, so why should we expect for him to live by Christian values?

Furthermore, I think out attitude ought to be more like Jesus with the woman at the well. We don't know all of the circumstances of his previous relationships, so we should probably be careful about jumping to conclusions about those marriages.

We need to be more concerned about him finding life in Jesus than bashing him on failed marriages.

Limbaugh surely knows this already, remember his trip to the Dominican Republic!

What's your specific evidence that he has gone to the Dominican Republic to engage in sexual acts with prostitutes?

If you don't have any specific evidence, you need to stop gossiping immediately and retract your allegations.

And don't give me the excuse that Limbaugh makes the same kind of allegations about others... Christians are supposed to have a higher standard.

Actually he has

That's interesting. Can you give me a link or reference? A number of years ago I heard a speaker* in chapel at Southwestern recount a lunch he had with Limbaugh where the speaker said that Rush was "too much of an intellectual" to be a Christian (which I thought was a very strange thing to say).

In any case, the speaker clearly claimed that Limbaugh denied being a Christian.

* At the moment, I can't remember if the speaker was Miles Seaborn or Ollin Collins, but he was both a Rush fan and an officer of the Board of Trustees at Southwestern.

I have listened to Rush on and off since 1992. Over the years he has claimed to be a Christian on air more times than I can count.

Limbaugh was caught by customs coming back to the U.S from the Dominican Republic with a bottle of Viagra that was not prescribed to him. You do the math.

The equating of Rush Limbaugh to conservative, Constitutional, or Christian values is an outrage. First of all, he is an entertainer, just like the clowns in Hollywood. He can be shut up with an off button. Some of you act like he is a governing authority that has been divinely appointed.

Usually I am as opposed to Crabtree and Robert Snow as one can be on issues of governing and politics. On this one, we agree, but for different reasons. Liberals do not like him because they continue to believe the myth of a difference between Democrats and Republicans, and that Rush supports the Republicans. I dislike anything about him, for several reasons, but on top, would be the phrase "talent on loan from God." Never mind the fact he is a self-indulgent, pill popping, arrogant slob. This sad excuse for a carbon life form has no reverence for the Lord, not one ounce of moral fiber, and is an embarrassment to any decent thinking person.

If everyone in America would stop listening to him, he would go away.
