Ok, can someone explain this to me.
How did the Jews or anyone get saved in old testament times?

by grace through faith -- faith in the Promise to be fulfilled. We have the historical details they did not and know the risen Christ, but they had the Promise of salvation through the agency of God to become incarnate. Believing in the Promise was believing on Christ Jesus.
-
The OT believers were saved by Faith; they were longing to see the Messiah.
They looked forward to the Cross while the NT believers (Christians) looked back to the death of Jesus. -
"For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: not of works, lest any man should boast."--Ephesians 2: 8-9
Hebrews 11: 13, "These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and weree persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth." -
Well, then are Jews now in present time saved by faith in the Promise of the Messiah which they think has not come yet,
or will their faith somehow lead them to beleive it is Jesus Christ as the Messiah. -
If they pay attention to their own Scriptures, they cannot miss the fact that Jesus was and is their Messiah. There are a LOT of Messianic Jews now! They recognize Christ as their Messiah, their God, their Lord. They are also reaching out consistently to their Jewish brethren, sharing the Good News with them.

Jews are saved the very same way that Gentiles are saved, by grace through faith in the shed blood of the Lord Jesus Christ for their sins.
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. (John 14:6)
There is a teaching that nobody needs to witness Christ to the Jewish people because they will be saved in the end. This is not true. I am a born again Jew, and I came to Christ like everybody else.
Salvation, from Genesis to Revelation, is by grace through faith. Read the famous "faith" chapter in Hebrews, chapter 11. -

So you see, God is not limited by man's ability to distort or to ignore His truths.
He had, in the Old Testament times, reserved 7,000 unto Himself who did not bow the knee to Baal, He had remnants of grace during Paul's time, and He has people, true Israelites within Israelites, reserved unto Himself even in our time, and all will come to Him in His own time and in His own way. -
Try this on for size:
Galatians 3:8, KJV
And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the heathen through faith, preached before the gospel unto Abraham, saying, In thee shall all nations be blessed. -
