I do not believe you can find any of my posts that praise Obama. If you can I will apologize. However, I see such hatred by the conservatives here and such a lack of rational thought, and such out right distortions that I think both sides should be read. Most of my OP are quotes from various newspapers and websites with no comment from me. I occasionally make a short statement.

O.K. I will take that as a backhanded answer in the negative concerning your beliefs as to Obam's qualifications to be President.

BTW - I don't recall any of the OP quotes from you to be anything other than negative concerning McCain and his VP choice. That takes away from your moral authority to comment on the supposed "hatred" - "lack of rational thought" and "distortions" of others.

So do you admit you are only negative concerning Obama?

No. If you look back to my earliest posts to the political forum - I came with the position that I was willing to vote for Obama - largely in the interests of racial harmony. Then the pastor Wright business came to light and I started looking at Obama quite more earnestly. The more I looked the less I liked.

After he gained the nomination, more came to light concerning his lack of experience - his tax and spend history - lack of accomplishments - lack of specifics in what he would do as President - and so on.

He used to be packaged as being a different kind of politician and a uniter. As more and more came out about Obam his campaign just sort of dropped that line.

Because Obama took a stand in this election and told big oil that is what he wants to do. McCain is telling big business they are on their side and won't raise their taxes like Obama will. Seems refreshing to see a politician actually tell us what his plan is. Remember Bush, read my lips, no new taxes? That is how I feel about McCain's promises. There is no way they can work and he's not taking the time to explain to us how they can.

Is it actually hatred, or is it genuine concern of the conservatives?

and rational thought is simply a persons opinion of an issue.

example - in Atlanta, Ga; there are panhandles virtually on every corner. My wife could not understand why I had no concern for them - they really needed help, they had tattered clothing, looked sick, and ect. My belief is that there is help available at both govt and social agencies. For example, one day a beggar asked me for money so he could buy lunch. I offered to take him to the Rescue Mission for a free lunch. His answer " I am not going to eat that slop".

So who has a more rational thought - me or my wife? Depends on how you look at the issue.

Here is the bottom line. I want to decide who gets my money for help. I don't want the govt deciding how to spend MY money, that I work for very hard!

I really believe for some it is hatred. Look at the venom that drips in some of the posts. So many people, both conservatives and liberals, has bought into this terrible idea that if they do not agree with me they must be destroyed. I blame the media for much of this ... and it is one reason I will not watch or listen to political talk shows.

Are you able to listen to WGMD 92.7. If so, have you ever listened to Bill Colley?

Oh, as far as a political show, have you ever checked into seeing if you could host your own show. There might be some stations that would let you broker some time - even an hour a week.
    Check it out!

If I do , will try to let you know.

I love to say, a starving man doesn't care about the table clothe, the china or where the chef got his culinary skills. He'd eat from a trashcan.

We have a food bank at the Church and some of the women in the mission make sandwiches and lunch sacks during the week. We give those out along with food that s ready to eat. We have a guy who stands in front of the Church several times a week holding a "will work for food" sign. He knows me by name, waves and even comes in to use our facilities then goes back out to his sign.

I won't say all but some of these guys have really made a business out of begging...

Negative is one thing ... outright lies, twisting facts, and posting sly leading questions and name calling is hatred.
