We may not like how, who, or what others worship. However, we must support their freedom to do so. If we want to be free to have Christian prayers and statements made/read in public schools we have to allow other faith groups (no matter how unsavory) to have the same freedom.
you're right, of course. just that the irony of it is so obvious (?).
I wonder what'll happen if the governor supported or proposed a bill that bans public prayer of any faith in all public schools, offices, and public places ?
I guess we'll have the American Atheists, ACLU, NAACP, and those "others" rallying to support him, eh ?
lol.
totally screwed world.
can't wait to get outta here.
either my time, or His time.
Yep. Reminds me of the nativity scene controversy in Santa Monica. For decades they had a nativity scene there at Christmas time. The atheists complained and won the right to have their own displays. Pretty soon there were Flying Spaghetti Monster displays and Greek God displays, and others, to the point where they outnumbered the Christian displays.
Personally, I'm for no public prayers of any kind in the public schools.
