Thank you Brother DeafPosttrib.
May God's blessings be evident unto you,
your family, and your ministry. May it
happen this very day. Amen. -

Ed, you said that I slandered you when I wrote " "I'm too scared of the Antichrist to want to suffer for Jesus under Antichrist so Jesus has to come and get me then because I'm so good."
It certainly was unintentional if I slandered you. I was merely trying to state the view of the pre-tribber. Jesus never said that only the Jew would see the Antichrist. In fact, He warned Christians in Matthew 24--which is what the church taught until 200 years ago when Darby swept the USA with his view.
So why is it that you will not see the Antichrist, Ed? (If you want to say that it is only for Jews, please tell why it is only for Jews.) -
-
Ed,
I want to tell you a short post.
2 Thess. 2:1-3 tells us, do not be deceived, that any person telling you that Christ already arrived or any moment, day of Christ shall NOT come till we must see come falling away(apostasy) FIRST, and the revealed of Antichrist. Obivously. Paul tells us, we all shall face Antichrist first before Christ comes.
Tonight, I will make more post to reply back to you.
In Christ
Rev. 22:20 -Amen! -
DeafPosttrib: "Obivously. Paul tells us, we all shall face Antichrist first before Christ comes."
That does not seem obvious from 2 Thess 2:1-3 unless
you missunderstand several elements of the passage.
Well, i explained it all before, here we go again:
------------------------------------------
The Thessalonians were familiar with
this saying of Jesus which we now find
recorded in Matthew 24:13 (KJV1873):
But he that shall endure unto
the end, the same shall be saved.
But some said of their friend "He got
sick and died before Jesus came to
get him, poor soul."
Paul addresses this problem in
a clearly pretribulation rapture passage
1 Thessalonians 4:13 - 5:11,
one of the most comforting passages in the
Bible.
1 Thessalonians 4:13 - 5:11 (nKJV):
13 But I do not want you to be ignorant,
brethren, concerning those who have fallen
asleep, lest you sorrow as others who
have no hope.
14 For if we believe that Jesus died and
rose again, even so God will bring with Him
those who sleep in Jesus.
15 For this we say to you by the word of the Lord,
that we who are alive and remain until
the coming of the Lord will by no means
precede those who are asleep.
16 For the Lord Himself will descend
from heaven with a shout, with the voice
of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God.
And the dead in Christ will rise first.
17 Then we who are alive and remain
shall be caught up (raptured)
together with them in the clouds to meet
the Lord in the air. And thus we shall
always be with the Lord.
18 Therefore comfort one another with these words.
5:1 But concerning the times and the seasons,
brethren, you have no need that I should
write to you.
2 For you yourselves know perfectly that
the day of the Lord so comes as a thief
in the night.
3 For when they say, "Peace and safety!"
then sudden destruction comes upon them,
as labor pains upon a pregnant woman.
And they shall not escape.
4 But you, brethren, are not in darkness,
so that this Day should overtake
you as a thief.
5 You are all sons of light and sons of the day.
We are not of the night nor of darkness.
6 Therefore let us not sleep, as others do,
but let us watch and be sober.
7 For those who sleep, sleep at night,
and those who get drunk are drunk at night.
8 But let us who are of the day be sober,
putting on the breastplate of faith and love,
and as a helmet the hope of salvation.
9 For God did not appoint us to wrath,
but to obtain salvation through our
Lord Jesus Christ,
10 who died for us, that whether we wake or sleep,
we should live together with Him.
11 Therefore comfort each other and edify
one another, just as you also are doing.
Later the Thessalonians wondered if they
had missed the rapture. Paul corrects this
in a second letter:
2 Thessalonians 2:1-3 (nKJV):
1 Now, brethren, concerning
the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ
and our gathering together to Him,
we ask you,
2 not to be soon shaken in mind or troubled,
either by spirit or by word or by letter,
as if from us, as though the day of Christ
had come.
3 Let no one deceive you by any means;
for that Day will not come unless
the falling away comes first,
and the man of sin
is revealed, the son of perdition,
The falling away that comes first
is the Rapture!
Then the man of sin is revealed, the
antichrist. Then the Tribulation period
begins.
There is nothing HAS TO HAPPEN before
the rapture.
Here are some things that could happen
before the rapture but they do NOT
have to happen.
1) The destruction of Damascus (Isaiah 17)
2) the Ezekiel 38 Gog/Magog invastion
(the Ezekiel 39 and Revelation 20:8
Gog/Magog invasion will be after the
Tribulation period)
3) the building of a Temple in Jerusalem
on Mount Zion north of and alongside
the Dome of the Rock.
But again, these things do not HAVE
TO HAPPEN before the rapture, they may
happen after the rapture; they could happen
before the rapture. They do not HAVE TO
HAPPEN before the imminent pretribulation
rapture. -
I love posting here, it is so much fun
and results in such improbable sayings.
1. Church mouse guy: "I was merely trying to state
the view of the pre-tribber."
Tee hee. You aren't very good at stating
the viewpoint of the pre-tribber.
Better stick you your own eschatology. Not being
of that belief myself, i won't know when you
mess up ;)
2. Old Regular: "How long are you going to post
that fictitous time line of Ent Time Events? "
Tee hee. That isn't my time line of End Time events.
That is my list of diffferences between the two
second comings of Jesus
BTW, half of that post you quoted was new.
Obviously you didn't read the other half cause
you miss-identified it
I was asked, it has been almost 2,000 years you
Chritians have been waiting for Jesus to come back.
When are you going to notice that he is not going
to show up? When will the time be you quit looking
for Jesus to come back.
Let me see.
2 Peter 3:8 (HCSB):
Dear friends, don't let this one thing escape you:
with the Lord one day is like 1,000 years,
and 1,000 years like one day.
Let me see, there are 360 days in a prophetic year.
So 1,000 years contain 360,000 days. But those
days are each like 1,000 years. So i'd say in 360 Million
years we should give up on looking for Jesus.
Only about 359,998,000 years to go before i give up. -

You say that God did not appoint us for wrath. That is a straw man. Of course, not. We shall be kept from the wrath of God just as Israel was passed over. You really should not use that verse to justify Darby.
-
Church mouse guy: "Of course, not. We shall
be kept from the wrath of God just as Israel
was passed over."
Your own sentences display a difference between
the church (of gentiles) and Israel. In the
Tribulation Day Judgement of Israel, there will be
no church anywhere on the earth save that protected
by the hands of God.
1 Corinthians 10:32 (KJV1769):
Give none offence, neither to the JEWS,
nor to the GENTILES, nor to the CHURCH OF GOD.
In this age is is largely the Gentiles that get
saved. In the Tribulation Day Judgement many
Jews will be saved, that is God's purpose for
having the Tribulation Day Judgement: to save
Jews. The Billions of Gentiles saved will be
GONE when the Tribulation Day Judgement comes down.
As in this age God's dribble-down glory may take place.
There are handfuls of Jews getting saved and called
"Messianic Jews" in the gentile age (AKA: church age).
There will also be a trickle-down in the
Tribulation Day Judgement, so some gentiles may
get saved. But being a gentile i sure wouldn't
bet my eternal soul that it might happen. A
gentile can be saved today: sure thing -

Weren't you quoting the verse to show that Christians escape the Tribulation by being raptured? I merely added that such a quotation is very inappropriate since it does not represent the post-tribulation doctrine which teaches that the Christian shall be kept from the wrath of God throughout the Tribulation.
As I understand your reply, it is off the subject because you just state that only Jews will be saved during the Tribulation. In other words, you changed the subject from the wrath of God to the Salvation of God. Therefore, I believe that my point stands that you do everyone a disservice by pointing out that the Christian will not see wrath as an example of why the Christian will not endure the Tribulation.
Do you confuse the Antichrist with the wrath of God? The Antichrist is clearly shown to be an agent of Satan only. The Antichrist cannot harm the Christian--to live is Christ and to die is gain.... -
Sorry to confuse you.
Occassionaly i do try to talk about
the subject of the Topic to which i
am posting. I think there is a rule about
it somewhere -

On the subject of the topic, I thought that you agreed that anyone could be saved after the rapture during the 1000 years, but then I thought that you withdrew that. I do not know why Salvation should cease for Gentiles during the 1000 years.
-
First, I must be honest and say that I did not read all five pages of this thread - so I apologize if my response duplicates another.
Secondly, my response is going to be long because I am quoting from a website. I am not confident enough yet to explain my position in my own words, so I am relying on someone else to do it for me. I'm afraid what I say may come out wrong and confuse someone. Ok, so here goes...
-
what the Bible says or even hints at.
If a gentile is not saved before the
pretribulation rapture/resurrection,
I have no assurance from the Bible
that he will have a chance for salvation
during the Tribulation 7-year-day.
However,if he is the in the 16% of
gentiles that survive the Tribulation
period, can he then be saved?
Jesus will walk among men as He rules
the earth during the Jewish Golden Age.
Well, i'm going to play the odds.
and odds of 0.16 to 1 is NOT very good.
I sure wouldn't BET MY ETERNAL SOUL on
surviving the Tribulation Day. -

Yikes! Are survival and Salvation connected?

Re 2:11 (KJV1769):
He that hath an ear, let him hear what
the Spirit saith unto the churches;
He that overcometh shall not be hurt
of the second death.
Re 20:6 (KJV1769):
Blessed and holy is he that hath part in
the first resurrection: on such the
second death hath no power, but
they shall be priests of God and of Christ,
and shall reign with him a thousand years.
Re 20:14 (KJV1769):
And death and hell were cast into the
lake of fire. This is the second death.
Re 21:8 (KJV1769):
But the fearful, and unbelieving, and
the abominable, and murderers, and
whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters,
and all liars, shall have their part in
the lake which burneth with fire and
brimstone: which is the second death. -
Second death is no power, for lost souls will cast into lake of fire after Judgement day. none of the scripture tell us there is another chance to get saved after second coming of christ.

Rev. 2:11 telling us of conditional salvation, IF any person OVERCOMETH them, shall not hurt the second death. OR... other word, WHAT IF a person failed to overcometh, shall suffer the second death.
What is 'second death'?
Rev. 20:14 tells, any person's name is not find written in the book of life, cast in the lake of fire, THIS is the second death. Second death is an everlasting punishment.
If any person failed to overcome(victory), shall suffering everlasting punishment, according what Jesus Christ said. Obivously, it is conditional salvation. No way, that we can afford to ignore or neglect Christ's warning.

addressing the TOPIC: "Can one be saved
after the Rapture?" The Rapture is a different
coming of Christ than the Second Coming.
Anyway, after the second coming is the
physical Millinnial Kingdom of Christ which
i guess would last a physcial 1,000 years
or maybe a spiritual 1,000 years (that could
be a long time 1,000 people years = 360,000
prophetic people days = 360,000,000 God days
or 360 Million people years.
Then after the physical Millinnial Kingdom
of Christ comes some other time things
as denoted in Revelation 20-22 -- lots of
time for Christ to rule the world before
time end and eternity begins. Can the maybe
as many as 16% of the world that survives
the great tribulation day be saved in
the Millinnial Kingdom?
