What does it mean to be "saved"? What does one have to do in order to be "saved"? Does it mean just believing in Jesus? Believing and repentance? The Bible says the demons believe. It also says that there will be some who say that they cast out devils or demons in Jesus's name, but they will be told, "I never knew you".
So, what does it mean for a person to be "saved"? I have an answer, but first I would like to hear what others have to say.
Saved?

According to the New Testament there are a number of ways to get saved. Some of these, to name a few, would be:
Believe. John 3:16
Repent and be baptized. Acts 2:38
Believe. Acts 16:31
Confess with your mouth and believe in your heart. Romans 10:9
Call on the name of the Lord. Romans 10:13
By grace through faith. Ephesians 2:8
By baptism. 1 Peter 3:21
So what does it mean to be saved? To go to Heaven when you die. No more, no less. -

To be saved, one must have faith in Jesus and follow Jesus.
Here is a very good article:

What's wrong with having faith and believing in the Lord? Will I not go to a positive afterlife or reap some gratification in my doing right and professing Gods splendor if do not claim God to be Jesus?

Because it is clear you do not understand the main point in Galatians.
"Are ye having begun in the spirit, made perfect by the flesh?"
We began with repentance and faith in Christ, we are made perfect by our faith in the spirit, which enables us to continue on in good works, we are saved by our faith, but our faith also sanctifies us. You think works and "following Jesus" is what saves and sanctifies, you think it is your flesh that perfects and completes you.
You are no different from those who were teaching heresy in the church of Galatia. -

It's called Idolatry. -
Go somewhere, study a lot more, gain some maturity, learn how to respect people, and then you might be able to address my points -- but I doubt it, even then, since you apparently don't know and can't comprehend what they are.
Also, try to actually follow Jesus instead of blowing off at the mouth, if you have the courage, which I also doubt. In the end, you might avoid being one of those whom He tells: "I never knew you". -
Wait a second idolatry sounds like I am worshipping an idol when in fact I am referring to simply the creator of all things and the one with all the glorious power and grace and mercy and knowledge. I indeed believe that Jesus Christ was indeed an amazing perhaps even perfect example of a human. I believe he was prophesied to come and that efforts were made to kill him in early youth. I believe his lessons and perhaps even miracles were pure. Was was the last profit I think some say. My point is that why can't we agree that there is only one lord. I am certain that Jesus Christ returned to that lord henceforth becoming him in a way.

There are going to many people who stand before God someday having barely followed Jesus at all.
Here is what the bible says about them:
11 For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.
12 Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble;
13 Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is.
14 If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward.
15 If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire. -
To repent and accept the Gospel - and then have the supernatural work of God done in the heart "a new heart" of the New Covenant - of Heb 8.
Thus the newly born Christian is "a saved saint".
So long as they heed the Romans 11 warning to those who "stand only by their faith".
in Christ,

A Christian will have some fruit. Maybe not all the time. We will have different levels of fruit, but we still have fruit. True faith brings fruit. If there is never fruit, I would say the faith is not real. The profession is not real. Fruit is not a requirement for salvation, but it will happen. It comes with the Holy Spirit. -
MATT.7 [22] Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?[23] And then will I profess unto them, I NEVER KNEW YOU: DEPART FROM ME, ye that work iniquity.
PSALMS 119 [113] I hate vain thoughts: but thy law do I love.[114] Thou art my hiding place and my shield: I hope in thy word.[115] DEPART FROM ME, ye evildoers: for I WILL KEEP THE COMMANDMENTS OF MY GOD.[116] Uphold me according unto thy word, that I may live: and let me not be ashamed of my hope.
Depart from me! Aint it great how the new verifies the old. Seems there will be many people who will be saying “I believe” when Jesus returns. Who had talked of Jesus and spoke in his name. Some that even have cast out devils in the name of Jesus. But “in that day” Jesus will say to “the many”, depart from me...I never knew you.
1JOHN2 [3] AND HEREBY WE DO KNOW THAT WE KNOW HIM, IF WE KEEP HIS COMMANDMENTS.[4] He that saith, i know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.[5] But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him.
Theres the people who know God and will be saved. Once again, the new verifies the old. They that observe to keep Gods 10 commandments. Remember to read the 4th one.
TITUS 1 [13] This witness is true. Wherefore rebuke them sharply, that they may be sound in the faith; [14] Not giving heed to Jewish fables, AND COMMANDMENTS OF MEN, that turn from the truth. [15] Unto the pure all things are pure: but unto them that are defiled and unbelieving is nothing pure; but even their mind and conscience is defiled. [16] THEY PROFESS THAT THEY KNOW GOD; BUT IN WORKS THEY DENY HIM, being abominable, AND DISOBEDIENT, and unto every good work reprobate.
In Titus you will find people that profess they know God (they say they believe) but in works they deny Him. They do not know God. So according to scripture it is just not enough to simply say you believe. Theres a lot more to it.
JEREMIAH [6] Thine habitation is in the midst of deceit; through deceit THEY REFUSE TO KNOW ME, saith the LORD.[7] Therefore thus saith the LORD of hosts, Behold, I will melt them, and try them; for how shall I do for the daughter of my people?[8] Their tongue is as an arrow shot out; it speaketh deceit: one speaketh peaceably to his neighbour with his mouth, but in heart he layeth his wait.[9] Shall I not visit them for these things? saith the LORD: shall not my soul be avenged on such a nation as this?[10] For the mountains will I take up a weeping and wailing, and for the habitations of the wilderness a lamentation, because they are burned up, so that none can pass through them; neither can men hear the voice of the cattle; both the fowl of the heavens and the beast are fled; they are gone.[11] And I will make Jerusalem heaps, and a den of dragons; and I will make the cities of Judah desolate, without an inhabitant.[12] Who is the wise man, that may understand this? and who is he to whom the mouth of the LORD hath spoken, that he may declare it, for what the land perisheth and is burned up like a wilderness, that none passeth through?[13] And the LORD saith, BECAUSE THEY HAVE FORSAKEN MY LAW which I set before them, and have not obeyed my voice, neither walked therein;

Are there not many who believe they are saved already. Is that scriptural? Dont they point to a certain day and claim they were born again and thus saved?
