Okay, here is the situation - you have two kids in grammer school. They both love the principal.
But the district has a new policy - building princaples are now the raters for all teachers in their school.
However, in two of the schools, each principal has a wife who teaches in that school.
Simple sollution - swap the two principals.
But, parents are upset - because the kids love their principal.
This is happening in Fulton.
What would you do as a parent?

Nepotism can be a problem, that's why this is is done.

Ask for the teachers to be swapped.

We have 4 raters at my school. The principal and three other administrators. They rate in teams of two as to prevent bias. Each team evaluates each teacher. That's 4 people determining your competency as a teacher. The principal who had a spouse to evaluate could simply abstain and let the other 3 evaluate the spouse. Why is he/she the only rater?

At each of the two school in question,(K-6) there are about 18 classroom teachers. Four admins for that one school would be excessive. -

How in the world did the school district allow the spouses of the administrators to be placed in the same school with them? That's insane. It only begs for trouble.
However, given that it happened, the best solution is to swap the principals. I'm sure the kids do love them, but the kids (at least when I was in school and when my kids were in school) didn't have nearly as much contact with the principals as they did the teachers. Harsh lesson, perhaps, but tell the kids, "Life's full of disappointments. You'll get over it." -
When did students love start loving the principals?

Another good question! -

Even at that - not a good ideal anyways.
Too easy for a case of bias to be charged by another teacher.
B ack in the '80's I had a husband & wife assgined to my Army unit. He outranked her - well, personel finally put them in different units
