Not illegal.
-
I understood it to be illegal also.
-
I think it is legal...just not able to get government funding or grants.
-
Did a little quick research, and cloning is not in itself illegal here, but you can not get goverment funding, and the rearch for cloning is illegal. The UN has tried to urge countries to make it illegal to clone humans (there was some kind of vote, I really don't know how anything wroks in the UN).

The link said it's illegal in the UK and other countries. I'd like to see a world wide ban. -

Look though the links from Google and don't go for the first link offered.

I said it was illegal in some places. It should be illegal every where.

Cloning will happen in the future....
At least, I truly believe it will
What will our response be as Christians to clones?
Will they have a soul?
Will they need a savior?
Will they be welcomed in your church? -
27: So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
28: And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.
We are not to love this world and want to live forever. We are to live as the scriptures tell us to and not fear death. Christ defeated death on the cross, so we might live forever with Him in Heaven. -

Habakkuk 1:8 (KJV)
Their horses also are swifter than the leopards, and are more fierce than the evening wolves: and their horsemen shall spread themselves, and their horsemen shall come from far; they shall fly as the eagle that hasteth to eat. -
I believe Adam was a captain of a fine sailing vessel too. Eve was said to be the first mate.

A few years ago there was a scientist with his lab on the upper floor of a skyscraper. He had cloned a human, but the clone had picked up a vocabulary that was basically cursing. After a while, the scientist told the clone to change his language or he was going to throw him out the window.
Sure enough, the clone did not change. One day the scientist opened the window and threw the clone to his death. A policeman on duty saw the whole incident.
He rushed up to the lab, and arrested the scientist. What was the charge? Making an obscene clone fall. -

All the concern over cloning is useles. It is never going to happen. God has control over life and the genetic code. And no one really knows the outcome of adding some skin cells to a fertilized egg in a dish. This is similar to scientists who claim if they find water on other lanets then there must have been life their at some time. Scientists tend to think way to much of their little accomplishments.
