"The FEC, in a memo to the Coolidge Reagan Foundation, which filed its complaint over three years ago, said it fined Clinton’s treasurer $8,000 and the DNC’s treasurer $105,000."

I remember watching part of the hearing based on that dossier and a LOT of people spent time in jail and a lot more suffered irreparable harm to their careers and reputation during the process ... this is the "poison apple" that yielded that collateral harm. Now there is proof of deliberate culpability for the "report" by the DNC.

If you can show you suffered harm and you can show that the deliberate actions of another were the cause of that harm, doesn't that put you on the road to winning a wrongful damage civil suit? I am not a lawyer, I was only dragged through the process once and remember a little of the speeches about how it works.

Trump would not want to go through the discovery process for his lawsuit since it will bring up all the evidence the bipartisan Senate Intelligence Committee uncovered in their extensive report. Plus Trump — just this week — made an appeal to Putin (a despot in the midst of attacking a democratic nation) to release dirt on the Biden family. He wants collusion even now.

I do.

I also reread everything you cited, as well as the responses.

It has nothing to do with the Clinton campaign being fined for the way they reported their contributions to the raw opposition research that became known as the “Steele Dossier.”

You seem to have jumped to the illogical conclusion that a failure of the Clinton campaign to properly document their expenditures means that all allegations of Russian collusion with the Trump campaign are false.
