And the topper of the all:

The SEC ain't what she used to be.

You may be right, lets see what happens Monday night
-
No matter what happens on Monday night I think a case can be made that the SEC is not nearly as good as in past years. It is widely regarded that the Big 10 stunk this year. Yet 3 of their teams played in pretty close games with SEC teams. LSU lost Clemson. And Florida, FLORIDA, lost to Louisville? That should never happen.

I think Florida didn't take Louisville seriously. I'd say their coach didn't adequately prepare them to play.

The SEC is 3-3, with those squeakers. With 3 to go, so the jury is still out -- but agreed, not what (everyone says) she used to be.
The Big 10 is 2-5. Done -- put a steak in it - the most over-rated conference. (The two wins were by MSU and Northwestern???) Question: do they ever win the Rose Bowl anymore?? Answer -- yes, they've won once in the last 10 years.
The PAC 12 is 2-4 so far, with 2 to go, the second most over-rated conference.
The Big 12 is 4-3 so far, with 2 to go.
The ACC is 4-2 --- no more to go.
Strangely enough, the (no more) Big East is 3-1, with 1 to go. -

Ahhhhh, 'Bama will right the ship after they crush the "Spritin' Irish 38-23.....A&M sure looked good versus Oklahoma....Manziel is remarkable......

Keep in mind what I've heard Steve Spurrier say many times, it is the team that plays the best on that day that wins most of the time, that does not mean they are the best team all the time.
According to the records posted by FriendOfSpurgeon one could say the ACC is the best but we know that isn't true.
I'm older than I believed that I would ever live to and one thing I've heard from a child till today, it isn't as good as it use to be. And I'm sure there is some truth to that, but not much.
It is like the good old days. They were not always that good, cutting wood for heat, sleeping on the porch in the summer because it was to hot to sleep inside and so on. I like central heating and A/C indoor bath tub and or shower, I enjoy today.
I still think the SEC is the best. Keep in mind, I recall the 50's and 60's where they said the SEC couldn't play with the big boys, the south just doesn't have the players. Look at the amount of players from the south and many from Florida and our Texas friends on so many teams across the country. I watched the Out Back Bowl and heard that many of the players play against each other here in Florida. -
A&M definitely gave the conference a boost with their impressive win over OU.
In other news, Louisville just scored again vs. Florida. -

Bama won 42-14
Notre Dame obviously over rated and any thoughts about the SEC being over rated is obviously nothing but wishful thinking.

Hmm, the SEC were 6-3 (I think) in bowl games and won their 7th straight national title. Pretty shabby I reckon.

The Tide Did In fact ROLL....Bigtime!

King Midas and Notre Dame both learned that when the "tide" rolls in no one can stop it.
