Eerily similar to the Petraeus comment where he didn't know if Iraq makes us safer.

Hi, Ivon!
The article that you linked quoted former Congressman Lee Hamilton as saying:
You couldn't get a greater contrast," said Lee Hamilton, co-author of the Iraq Study Report.
"It's refreshing to see a secretary of defense who has an appreciation of military power but also has an appreciation of the limitations of military power," he said.
Ivon, you can throw out what Lee Hamilton says. He was a minor Congressman from southern Indiana along the Ohio River and a staunch Democrat. He is speaking strictly from a Democrat Party point of view and complaining about a lame duck President. The so-called contrast that the Democrats say that they see is merely an attempt to glean a political advantage to an evasive answer to a reporter's question. The Democrats are desperate after they called an American general in war a traitor and it backed fired on them big time. It turns out that The New York Times even gave the Democrats a special low price to smear the American general at war. The Democrats are so power hungry that they will say or do anything in order to get back in power, even if it means surrendering in the war in terror as Hillary and Ron have promised to do in Iraq. Frankly, I am getting sick of people like Lee Hamilton, Hillary, Ron, and George Soros (is that is name) of moveon.org, a left-wing smear organization. -
church mouse guy, you probably have a valid point about Hamilton being biased. One thing though: Bush trusts his judment and so much so that he was hand picked to run this war. To say that he doesn't have any clue what's going on (I know you didn't literally say that) is to dismiss the President's wisdom too. He's appointed Secretary of Defense for a reason.
But, as usual, you could be right! -
Secretary Of Defense doesn't know if Iraq worth it
Does anyone yet know if it was completely worth it? It's not over.
Democrats are working hard to be sure it was not "worth it". On any level.
