Just want to know if anyone can recommend any excellent seminaries in Georgia.
Seminaries in Georgia

I was in the first class to attend McAfee, so I'm very biased towards it. I've had friends attend Candler and Columbia as well, and I can recommend them both without reservation as well. All three have different personalities, and I'd be happy to answer any questions you might have.

Luther Rice Seminary in Lithonia, just outside of Atlanta.
Anything Josh recommends is going to be extremely liberal and just another meaningless institution that gives a form of religion.
They might as well be Episcopal or Methodist colleges.
Out like integrity and Christ-centeredness in liberal and moderate colleges. -
Gasp! Not an Episcopal or Methodist seminary! Anything but that! :D
Candler is in fact a Methodist seminary (located at Emory - a nominally Methodist university). It has a large and very active Baptist House of Studies led by David Key, whom I know well. Columbia is Presbyterian, but has an ecumenical faculty.

Joshua, do you also post on baptistlife.com forums? Your writings are somewhat egotistical.
Just wondering. -
Mark, that's me. Same fellow.
Could you clarify the egotism charge?

How you had to say that you were number one in your class. Isn't that egotistic and prideful? You just seem to talk about yourself quite a bit. Maybe I am misreading you.
Oh, I just got accepted to a doctoral program for biblical studies. However, I am afraid of becoming overly egotistical and puffed up because of it. Shouldn't or pride be humbled? There is not one scripture in the Bible that says for us to be prideful and egotistical.

Mark,
I was in the first class at McAfee, not first in my class (maybe tenth - but there were only ten of us). I mentioned my personal bias because it seemed relevant to the discussion, and I mentioned being in the first class because McAfee is a new seminary and has only had a few graduating classes.
I don't know how many of my 1800+ posts you have been following, but I'm not aware that I've demonstrated a penchant for bragging. No one here has accused me of it before, and I feel certain they would have felt free to since they have no compunctions about making other, much stronger critiques.

it seems preferrable to talking about others, which is sadly not uncommon here.

Mark,
What on earth are you talking about?

Attended McAfee briefly, loved it and recommend it. I've also heard good things re: Candler and Columbia.

PTW-just curious-do you have any idea how your "Episcopal or Methodist" comment reflects on you? Its right up there with "anti-CBF" in your personal description. Is that really coming from a "Christ-centered" approach? -
Luther Rice was a conservative seminary and bible college before Hershel Hobbs sold out to the liberals and introduced the most absurd language for Scripture. Btw, if he hadn't done that, liberals wouldn't have felt the "freedom" to ever join the convention. We could have avoided all that trouble that happened (no matter what side you are/were on). Yes, integrity costs something. Unfortunately, he had none.
Are you seriously questioning whether it is Christ-centered or not? Give me a break! Jesus was not impressed with bad theology. Read Matthew 23.
Jesus is truth.
Satan is the father of lies.
Liberals don't know the difference.
Like my acceptance for false teachers and religions, I am out. -
Have you checked it out? -
New Orleans Seminary has an extension center in the Atlanta area.
